Now, it is working for the capacity building of artisans, weavers & farmers in various districts of Lucknow, Unnao, Barabanki and Hardoi in UP.

The mission of the organization is to fight poverty through trade, practicing and promoting approaches to trade that help poor people in developing countries to enhance their livelihood.

To link this indigenous Indian heritage needle handicraft to international fashion business, Mia Dastkaar Zariwale Pvt. Ltd along with its associate Kalatmak Handicrafts SHG Foundation Lucknow India presented their summer 2010 collection at the European fair trade fair in Lyon France from 2^nd to 4^th October 2009. The show was based on the theme “Nature Simplicity & Fair Trade”, organized to promote the International Year of Natural Fibers 2009 and only organic cotton was used in the collection.
