The SSR-7000 consists of a radiation detection system that operates in concert with a MM Wave body scanner and an electronic countermeasure IED Defeat System. This three part solution is geared to deal with finding remote controlled weapons that are designed to detonate radioactive contents with a discharge that may or may not reach nuclear yield. Dirty bombs of this type are designed to cause terror and maximum panic.

Part 1: MM Wave Technology

MM Wave Technology enables an operator to view subjects on a computer screen. Using a sensor, an image is formed representing the energy given off by the subject. This image can show the operator if the subject is carrying foreign objects such as weapons, drugs, suspicious plastic or glass
vials, contraband hidden in the clothing or on the body, etc.

Part 2: Radiation Detection

Measurements processes continuously observe and test the vicinity for minute traces of isotope emissions in Alpha, Beta, & Gamma radiation ranges. Because Gamma radiation is the most lethal threat, and because Cesium 137, the radioactive element most common in a dirty bomb, gives off Gamma radiation, the measurement of minor traces to large volumes can be detected from distances far away. Radiation in the smallest amount can be detected and an alert can be securely
sent without interruption or sabotage over the internet to administrators and security forces on standby. This enables remote deployment and monitoring on sight or remotely, via secure connection to a central control station in any city in the world.

Part 3: Radio Jamming

The multi-faceted system can also generate radio jamming signals in order to counter a remote controlled Dirty Bomb from received its triggering signal via RF. This electronic radio jamming process can be conducted manually or automatically. If a Dirty Bomb has been detected, electronic
interference can be generated within the area (and beyond) of detection. Once the jamming signals are broadcasted, these signals then attack all radio communications equipment within an area, hindering any radio receiver from receiving a detonation signal to trigger the bomb. The administrator can remotely activate the jamming system, or can set the system to activate automatically once a threat is detected.

These three systems are integrated to perform fast detection and handling of WMD threats, giving security forces the edge in combating terrorism.
