Spring Operated Cable Reeling Drums provide extremely simple means of supplying power to machines such as cranes & hoist & are suitable for both AC & DC applications. These drums recover & store the cable in multiple layers on the drum, spring operated drums can be used for horizontal and vertical recovery of cables, Horizontal Catenary of cables, vertical pull & DC magnet reels.

"mitool" have available a complete range of motor driven torque controlled reels. Mitool have produced in the tc range a reliable, low cost solution to the problems of reeling long length of cables at the high duty cycle rates demanded by today's heavy industry.

The term "variable" is mentioned because in these type of reels we can very the dimensions of the compartment as per the clients specification to suit their requirements. The spring housing can also be modified by adding more number of springs to attain the required tension & accomodate the total length of cables. Vice versa the springs can be delated to suit their requirement, the slipring housing can also be made to requirement by adding on the number of sliprings can per the cable sizes.

The ability to combine standard power and precious metal sliprings with rotary fluid and fibre optic couplings enable mitool collector columns to transfer a multitude of power and control functions. meeting the requirements of all current international standards, mitool collector columns and sliprings are continuously rated with a minimum of two brushes on each ring.

As a result frequent movement will have no effect on oil pressure nor will there be any breaks in the electrical current. The three types are cdc65, cdc95 and cdc120. Material of construction for each is in galvanized steel/ss 304 steel. Stay bars are in split type in aluminum or in non metallic material.

Technical description cam / master controllers application: these controllers are suitable for operation of heavy duty eot cranes and rolling mill drives on power and control circuits upto 500 vac 50 cycles at 40a continuous current. When used as master controller, the maximum permissible frequency of operation is 1000 switching per hour. V\when used as cam controllers, the maximum permissible frequency of operation at rated current is 720 operation per hour. basic specification: heavy duty. Reversing air break cam controller / masters with joystick operating handle maximum working voltage 500v a, c. 3 phase 50 cycles. Maximum continuous current 40 amps maximum number of notches 6 on either side. A greater number of notches can be provided for special purpose controllers if so required. construction: the housing of controllers is made of heavy gauge sheets steel suitably reinforced to give exceptional rigidity which is essential for satisfactory operation. The cam shaft is mounted in the housing, on moulded bushes (bearing) of synthetic material fixed to the front and rear walls. These bearings do not require any lubrication whatsoever. The cams themselves are moulded from the highest quality malemine and are accurately cut to correspond to the switching sequence. The cams have an exceptionally long life. switching element : the body of the switching elements is made of high grade malemine which is specially suited for heavy duty. The material is non-tracking and is capable of withstanding heavy arcing. The contacts themselves are made from high grade silver cadmium alloy which are continuously rated upto 40 amps. These contacts can interrupt a current of 70 amps at 500v a/c. When fitted with are barriers between adjacent contacts. switching capacity: the same switching elements are used in both. High bay luminaries with mercury sodium vapour lamps are extensively used in steel plants. Power plants and heavy engineering indsutries where these luminaires are subjected to severe vibration and shock round the clock, due to the traveling of busy overhead cranes moving in plants. the normal guaranteed duration of a lamp is thus severely affected and due to which within a short period it gets fused and then replacement of lamps at a high bay roof truss becomes a hazardous job. to install a damper (just suspend the luminaire from the damper) which would protect the costly lamps form the premature failure due to vibration and heavy shocks, thus substantially saving on cost of the lamp, and which also saves labour and down time beacause of damper. so, from the econcomical point of view the high bay dampers are indispenable for high bay luminaires to save very costly lamps fixed on it. application suiable for melting shop, blooming, slabbing, rolling and sheet mill, heavy engineering shop etc
