Quality Policy/Processes

We are quality oriented organization and our aim is to provide high quality fresh products to our valuable clients .Strict supervision at the time of grading & packing to maintain required quality parameters is done. Various instruments are used to test the Sugar content  and quality of the produce.

Quality and food safety is priority for MACO this is why we try to ensure that

  • All our producers are Global G.A.P certified.

  • All produce is traceable to the farm.

  • Producers comply with use of registered chemicals.

  • Produce is tested for MRL by accredited laboratories before export.

  • Supply specific quality to specific clients.

  • Our product is inspected for quality before departure and upon arrival.

Food Safety

MACO has created a set of standards which ensure that all our producers comply with Good Agriculture Practices (G.A.P). MACO has some of the most advanced agriculture practices, which includes the most up-to-date production and handling practices. Together with the NRC Grapes and APEDA we have strict control and use of agrochemicals. Samples are regularly sent for testing at an accredited laboratory.

MRL levels are tested in order to ensure that they comply with market requirements. Modern packing methods and good cold chain management are used. Worker hygiene and sanitation is constantly monitored in order to produce a safe product. Accreditations like Global Gap are compulsory with all our producers.

By doing different trials on residue reduction and actives elimination we are flexible and capable of managing our residues in a responsible way. We follow Integrated Pest Management strategies to reduce residues. We moved away from harsh broad spectrum fungicides to friendly target specific fungicides.

We have a dedicated monitoring team permanently monitoring the Farm & vineyards for pests and diseases. Monitoring data helps us to make timely applications and to be pro-active with applications on smaller areas as to conventional full area control. Monitoring data gives us the ability to make scientific decisions on reduction of applications and lowering our residues.

By replacing harsh broad spectrum fungicides with friendlier target specific fungicides we make sure that we conserve our natural enemies to increase their populations to keep vineyards pests under control.
