We, Morakhia Metal & Alloys Private Limited are a progressing firm that is manufacturing and exporting high quality copper products and copper based alloy semis. Established in 1990, we are specializing in the manufacture of low Oxygen content copper products that are suitable for critical Industrial applications. The range that we are offering are of top quality with excellent functional features. We are offering a wide range that includes rods, bars, flats, bus bars, profile sections, strips & flexiber as per the drawing and other allied copper based products. Mr. Prakash S. Morakhia is the promoter of our firm who has 25years of experience in the non-ferrous field. He is well versed in dealing with National & International marketing activity. With good administration skill and strict adherence to industrial norms, he has helped us to achieve a target of 60 crores of annual turnover.

With the objective to become a leading name in copper and copper alloy industry, we are offering wide range of products that satisfactorily meet the needs of varied industrial clients. Besides offering standardized products such as industrial brass rods, industrial copper rods, copper pipes, industrial copper pipes, copper straight length, steel profile sections, profile sections etc. we can also provide products as per client's customized specifications. The raw material that we use for production includes cathod, wire rod and in-house scrap. These raw material are procured from reputed names like Birla copper (Hindalco), Hindustan Copper Ltd & Starlite Industries Ltd., to ensure flawless finish in the end products. Our range includes :

• Copper pipe, tubes & hollow rods -up to 6” (150 mm) Copper rod & bars- up to 8*(200 mm) Copper flat & bus bars- up to 20” (500 mm) Copper section & profiles- up to 18” (4500mm).
•  Copper strips & flexiber – as per drawing.

Our expansion unit is under commissioning stage and quality production is expected by mid of 2008.

•  Productivity Enhancement: The unit will manufacture cc rods cc copper strips from 30mm to 70 mm width & thickness1mm to 10mm. With addition of the unit our production will increase to 750 M.T.
• Technological Up gradation: This unit will give us Oxygen free copper which is required for very critical applications in the industries. 
• Competitiveness: Due to this addition we can reduce our cost of production and also result in the improvement of the quality of products that will prove to be advantageous for us.

Complying with our mission to offer high quality products and services to the clients , we are manufacturing the products strictly according to national & international specification and even give a warranty of our products as per international norms against any manufacturing failure. The copper used in the production are 99.99% purity because it is a electro-deposited copper with an oxygen level between 60PPM to 100PPM We are sampling our manufactured product at different intermediate stages to ensure the best quality product is offered. Besides confirming to international standards of ISS, ASTM, BSS and DIN, the products are tested in a laboratory within the works. They are further inspected by independent scrutiny agencies before they are certified and approved. The products are tested on various quality parameters like chemical composition, conductivity, hardness, tensile strength, flattering, bending, hydro test and other effective tests.

We have our unit located at Chhatral near Ahmedabad. Spread across an area of 10830 Sq. meters, our manufacturing plant has a production capacity of 350 M.T which is likely to get enhanced in near future. The unit is well-equipped with required machinery and tools that facilitate the production processes like melting, casting, extrusion, drawing, smelting, rolling and other processes. We have well-managed departments that are essential for smooth and systematic work system. The departments include administration, production, quality control, purchases, stores, marketing, and accounts. Each department is contributing significantly in the progress of our company.

We have a team of qualified and experienced technical personnel who are strongly committed to continuous improvement in quality through adoption of improved techniques of production. Regular skill development training to provided to the workforce that ensures their skills are further enhanced.
