Water Purification Filters

We are one of the prominent manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of Water Purification Filters that is extensively used for the purpose of eliminating the contaminants and other hazardous impurities that are present in water. The range is designed to address to the need for safe and pure drinking water and is widely used in various industries such as pharmaceutical and chemical. Low installation cost, easy and fast installation and low maintenance cost are the key features for these units. Moreover, the range can also be customized as per the requirements of our clients.

Water Purification Filters

Activated Carbon Filter

Activated Carbon Filter

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER uses hi-grade granular carbon columns and uses Adsorption Technology to remove the organic contaminants from the raw water. When the raw water passes through the carbon columns, the contaminants present in the water are adsorbed on to the surface of the carbon granules. Activated Carbon Granules of varying Iodine Value is available with us starting from 300 IV to 1500 IV. The IV of the carbon is chosen based on specific applications.

The media design also facilitates easy backwash and rinse resulting in longer life of the carbon granules. The backwash and rinse operations need to be performed at frequent intervals as specified by our technical department for effective removal of adsorbed contaminants.

Objectionable colour, odour, residual chlorine and volatile organic compounds are eliminated from the water when it passes (down flow) through the carbon column. The water which comes out of the ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER will have better clarity and freshness.

Aquasoft Softener

Aquasoft Softener

Water which contains excess hard salts like calcium and magnesium is called Hard water.

Calcium and magnesium is present in water in both carbonate and non-carbonate form.

Carbonate hardness is known as temporary hardness and non-carbonate hardness is known as permanent hardness.

Excess hardness is mostly present in deep bore well water.

Presence of hardness in ground water may be attributed to the sub-soil characteristics.

About 73percent of India suffers from more than 150 ppm of hardness in water due to excessive Magnesium and Calcium salts.

Permissible hardness content in water as per the world health organization (WHO) standard is 50 ppm (parts per million)

Continuous usage of hard water for general purpose and consumption leads to various types of health hazards.

Chemical Dosing Pump

Chemical Dosing Pump

Chemical Dosing generally applies to feeding chemicals in small quantities in to the process fluid at specified intervals to give sufficient time for the chemical to react with the fluid for achieving the desired results.

Autodoser is an electrical diaphragm pump which is used to accurately dose the desired chemical into the water. This pump effectively and uniformly injects the chemical into the water with very high level of consistency. This pump is used to dose oxidising agents, antiscalant chemicals and others such chemicals required in water treatment processes.

These pumps are of self-lubricating type capable of pumping chemicals of any viscosity at constant pressure and very high level of consistency irrespective of the suction pressure variations. The driving component in this pump is a flexible diaphragm. The advantage of this design is the elimination of all gland packings and seals which are exposed to the liquid being pumped. This feature is highly useful when hazardous, toxic and corrosive liquids are handled.

Pumps for continuous flow are also designed and supplied by us as per requirements. Useful support accessories like pressure relief valves, NRVs, suction strainers, back pressure valves, pulsation dampners, pressure gauges, dissolving baskets, and high/low speed motorized agitators are also supplied by us.

The stroke length of the pumps is adjustable from 10% to 100% with the fixed stroke rate of 100 strokes per minute. Every unit comes with a comlete set of inlet strainer cum foot valve and injection check valve.

All dosing systems can be upgraded to completely automated units with a link to PLCs. All dosing pumps come with storage tanks in FRP / HDPE / SS with fume / moisture sealing devices conforming to international safety norms.

MORF INDIA supplies a wide range of controlled volume pumps like plunger type metering pumps, electrical diaphragm type metering pumps, steam jacketed plunger pumps, mechanically actuated pump and hydraulically actuated pumps for dosing different chemicals. These positive displacement reciprocating pumps with stroke adjustment mechanism are mounted on compact skids, robust and engineered to dose precise and pre-fixed quantity of chemicals. These pumps are equipped with liquid handling materials that guarantee a very wide chemical comparability. Since the pump head is made of polypropylene reinforced with glass fiber, PTFE diaphragm, unique double ball valve design and the absence of elastomers, the system can work with almost all chemicals.

Ferrousfree Iron Removers

Ferrousfree Iron Removers

Presence of iron gives a slight / strong yellow colour to the water depending on the content of the iron.

Iron is a natural mineral and an inorganic chemical and is generally found in bore or well water.

Presence of iron in water may be attributed to the sub-soil characteristics.

Physically iron is present in two forms - Dissolved State (Ferrous ) and Suspended state (ferric Oxide / Ferric Hydroxide)

Dissolved iron cannot be filtered but suspended iron can be removed by filtration.

Dissolved iron in order to be filtered should be effectively oxidized and converted into suspended iron.

The permissible limit of iron in water should be less than 0.3 ppm (parts per million.

Macrofilter

Macrofilter

MACROFILTER is essentially a multi-media filter and is an advanced variant of the pressure sand filter which uses Depth Filtration Technology (DFT) with multiple media types. MACROFILTER also combines the functional advantages of a Pressure Sand Filter and an Activated Carbon Filter. A unique 4-layer media consisting of Graded quartz sand, specially sieved fine white sand, activated carbon granules of high iodine value (IV 950) and Pebbles at variable proportions (depending on the water quality) helps in effectively reducing the physical contaminants present in the water. The media alignment ensures even distribution of the filtration load. The media design also facilitates easy backwash and rinse resulting in longer life of the filter media.

Excess turbidity, suspended solids, bad colour, odour, residual chlorine and volatile organic compounds are eliminated from the water when it passes (down flow) through this unique 4-layer media column. The water which comes out of the MACRO FILTER will have better clarity and freshness. Besides, DFT enhances the dirt holding capacity of the plant with lesser pressure drops across the filter bed at higher velocities.

Tube Settlers

Tube Settlers

Clarifiers are used as pre-treatment units for treating turbid waters having higher suspended and colloidal particles (surface water sources like rivers, streams and sea) and down / up stream of biological processes in waste water treatment. The clarifiers help settlement of colloidal particles by providing a larger surface area.

Conventional clarifiers as well as compact and space efficient tube settlers with smaller footprints are used for this purpose. Accessories like flash mixers, flocculators and chemical feeding systems are offered as part of the system.

A clarifier consists of a series of inclined plates which are arranged to form a separate sedimentation chamber between adjacent plates. The raw water first flows to the stilling chamber to break the turbulence and is then fed into a flash mixer. Chemicals like alum, lime, polyelectrolyte and similar coagulants / flocculation agents are dosed in the water prior to flash mixer for proper mixing of chemicals which enhances the efficiency of sedimentation / floc formation. Water from the flash mixer enters in to the flocculator. The paddle type agitator provided in the structure facilitates gentle mixing.

The flocculated water enters the clarifier from the bottom section of the plates and flows upward between them. As the water moves upwards, solids settle downward onto the surface area provided by the plates. Solids continue to slide down the plate surfaces to the collection hopper. Near the top of each plate, water leaves through circular openings in the adjustable weir plate located along both the sides of the clarifier. The weir plate is set horizontally to provide proper distribution of liquid through each circular opening. Settled sludge is periodically drained by opening the drain valve at the hopper bottom. The collected sludge from the plant is finally pumped out.

MORF INDIA designs a wide range of clarifiers / tube settlers which are compact, involves low civil cost and adopts a modular design that minimizes field erection activities. High Rate Solids Contact Clarifiers (HRSCC) are used in raw water which has volatile physical characteristics. HRSCC ensures a highly clarified water quality and greater tolerance to variations in inlet conditions. With no major moving parts, it is highly maintenance-friendly and is designed to work totally on gravity.

Ultra Filtration Plant

Ultra Filtration Plant

Ultra filtration is a unique pressure-driven physical separation process in which the water is passed through porous (partially permeable) membranes with pore sizes in the range of 0.1 to 0.001 micron. The pore size of UF membranes are much larger than the porocity of RO membranes. Typically, UF membranes will remove high molecular-weight substances, colloidal materials, silt, turbidity, organic / inorganic polymeric molecules, pollen, algae, particulate matters, suspended solids and all microorganisms like parasites, bacteria, cryptosporidium, giardia lamblia, viruses, endotoxins and other pathogens. These membranes are in the form of long hollow fibers. The result is high pure water free from physical and biological contaminations.
