Intercell battery connection systems
MSS India can supply connectors from; solid lead strip, from copper strip with cast lead ends or from insulated copper cable with cast lead ends. These connectors are designed to be welded to the lead pillars in the cell. For bolted cells MSS can supply the connection system with a fully encapsulated (with acid resistant rubber compounds) copper cable connector and the plastic headed terminal bolts to secure the connector into the cell pillar.

Lead Cast pillars for bolted cells
MSS India is the world's largest manufacturer of bolted cell pillars for use in both BS and DIN standard traction cells with current output at approximately 5 million bolted pillars per year. MSS India supply a range of pillars from large to small in a variety of different lead alloys from 12% antimony to 4% antimony content. The pillars are all cast with a very high quality / high strength brass insert. These inserts can be cast in the plain brass finish or with a copper and tin electroplated finish depending on customer specification. As well as the standard dimensional checks, pillars, supplied are rigorously tested for porosity, torque test, for the bonding of the insert and for surface finish.
Brass Terminals are used mostly in Metering Industries. They are in form of Current Terminals, Potential Terminals & Voltage Terminals etc. Single Phase & 3 phase energy meters needs high quality Terminals for superior conductivity & résistance to corrosion. Variety of terminals can be produced as per custom design & specifications. We usually produce these terminals exclusively as per custom design in the form of Square, Rectangular or in Special Sectional Design.
Material: Brass Terminals are available as per IS 319 or BS 249 or BS 2874: CZ 121 or any high graded brass as per custom specification.

The contact has a tubular body produced by cold forming and has two parallel walls of small thickness through which are punched two tabs of substantially rectangular shape.
