The most reliable Sigma Mixer incorporates two counter-rotating blades, in two semi-cylinders. Their intersection forms a saddle piece which meets tangentially. Just above the saddle, blades work by gearing at both ends. The mixing action of the machine is due to a combination of bulk movement, folding, smearing and stretching against the blades & sidewalls.
