 | | | | | Heater Plugs/ Resistor Blocks We are a well established
manufacturer of high standard heater plugs and resistor blocks, that
are encountering wide demand in the global markets. The main function
of heater plug is "Heating the combustion chambers of diesel
engines in cold conditions". In comparison to petrol engines,
diesel engines do not use spark plugs to induce combustion. But
instead of it, they depend solely on compression. The piston rises,
compressing the air in the cylinder and thus causes the air's
temperature to rise. By the time the cylinder reaches the top of its
travel path, the temperature in the cylinder is extremely high. Then,
fuel mist is sprayed into the cylinder; it immediately combusts,
forcing the piston downwards, thus generating the power. The pressure
required to heat the air to that temperature, however, necessitates
the use of a large & very strong engine block. However, the problem posed
is that in cold weather, if engine has not been running (as is the
case when the car is left to sit overnight), that large engine block
gets very cold; when one then attempts to start the engine, the cold
engine block works as a heat sink, quickly dissipating the heat
generated by the pistons compressing air. The engine is then unable
to start, because it can not generate & maintain enough heat for
the fuel to ignite. The method for fixing this problem is to fit each
cylinder of the Diesel Engine with a glow plug. Each MVD Make Glow Plug
(or Heater Plug as commonly called) is fabricated from superior
quality imported wire, which has high resistance and when
electrified, heats due to electrical resistance and begins to emit
light, (hence the term "glow" plug), the effect is very
similar to that of a toaster. The heat generated by the glow plugs is
directed into the cylinders & serves to warm of the engine block
immediately surrounding the cylinders. This aids in reducing the
amount of thermal diffusion which will occur when the engine attempts
to start. However, the most important aspects of selecting a RIGHT
"Glow plug" are:
- Right Voltage
(Depending on the Engine / Application)
- Fitment specs
designed by Engine manufacturer
- Ensuring the best
thermal wire for high heat generation immediately on passing the
current
- Ensuring the right
insulation between body & thermal wire
- Ensuring the right
design and testing capabilities of manufacturer
