Our business of manufacturing flutes is 200 years old, and this is the fourth generation of the family involved in this business. Our grandfather has created the history first time in Pilibhit a District of Uttar Pradesh to make flute of "Narkul" (a piece of raw bamboo) after inspiring the flute of SHRI KRISHN BHAGVAN". He wanted to create a good sound in a raw bamboo and he got success on his experiment.
He started making and selling flutes it in the market or in fair to gain the financial benefits. He did no. of experience in making flute in his time. Gradually, the work of flow and volume demanded by the people increased and finally Mr. Abdul Nabi took the charge of making flutes. Mr. Abdul Nabi, founder of "Nabi & Sons" was well educated and having good personality tries his own experiments in making flutes. He won National and State Awards in making flutes of different designs and colours. He made flutes of in different material like Brass, Ebonite, Wooden, Steel, Glass and he also made world smallest size and world biggest size of flute which is a record in India.
At present, all of our family members and other society are involved in manufacturing flutes in District Pilibhit and more than 500 family including women, children are involved making flutes. It has now become an industry where a lots of unemployed people are self-employed doing this business.
