COCO LCM: The lost circulation material is made of ground coconut shell. That is organic in nature. In chemical composition, versatile balance of fibrous-cellulose and lignin content. It is chunky in shape and prepared in three grades of particle sizes: powder, flake and granular. All three grades can be used effectively in pills, sweeps and maintenance treatments for spotting opposite thief zones. This material is compatible with water and non-aqueous based fluids. This material can be used to help retard the loss of mud into fractures or highly permeable formations. This material is insoluble and quite inert to ideally suit the mud system.
