Sri. M. C. Varghese started coir business at Alleppy in 1956. In the early days the company was known as D-Paul & Co Pvt Ltd., which was one among the few who exported Handloom Coir Mats, Matting, Yarns and fiber in bales in the country. The exports were mainly carted to countries like Italy, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, U.K. and Ireland (Dubin).The retirement of Sri. M. C. Varghese caused a temporary hold up in business activities in 1986. His son took over and as a part of expansion the company was re-registered as NATURAL FLOOR COVERING PVT LTD.
