Chromite is an oxide of Iron and chromium, has a chemical composition FeOCr2O3. However, Chromite conforming to theoretical composition is rarely found in the nature. Iron is found replaced by magnesium and similarly chromium by ferric iron and aluminum, thus bringing the composition of the naturally occurring Chromite corresponding to Fe MgO Al Fe Cr 2O3. it is this replacement that improves the Fe : Cr ratio in Chromite.

KYANITE is the allotropic varieties of metamorphic mineral corresponding Al2O3 and SiO2 they form useful Alumino-Silicate superduty refractory material. Kyanite when heated above 16500 C it convert into mullite (3Al2O3. 2SiO2) which has high refractory properties and high strength.
The Kyanite after calcinations increases in volume to about 20% the calcined Kyanite acts on an admissive in refractory industries, glass and porcelain industry.

Molten Metal Filters also called, as ceramic filters have become an indispensable part of the casting technology in the present day contest. These filters find optimum use of aluminum casting, gray iron casting and nodular casting with a temperature of withstanding capacity of 1480 C. Also greater emphasis is being made by designers to reduce the casting weight which is becoming a global demand. To achieve this wall thickness of the casting has to be reduced. Further more the high cutting speeds also require increasingly higher casting quality. This means that the customer requirements in terms of low weight, resulting in cost savings with defect free castings are becoming ever demanding. The thinner wall castings are more sensitive compared to thick wall castings causing serious damage with subjected to high stress. Improving the casting quality is by use of clean melt. Any non-metallic inclusion represents weaking of the cross section of the casting resulting in high stress build up. This inclusion not only has an impact on the high tool wear rate but also results in customer dissatisfaction/Complaints.
Exothermic and insulating linings for feeder cavities substantially extend the solidification time of the feeder, leading to very effective feeding, reduction/elimination of shrinkage porosity, desirable thermal gradients in the casting and increase in percentage yield.
Navbhan makes exothermic sleeves suitable for cylindrical feeder cavities of varying sizes. These sleeves are prepared by vacuum molding of selected oxides and metallic powders.
