Lead glass for x-ray protection providing a high quality, transparent, protective shield against x-ray radiation in medical, technical and research applications. Its high content of lead and barium gives optimum shielding against radiation energies generated by equipment operating in the range 100-300 KV. Standard lead equivalency is 2.0 mm (1/16”) with a thickness of 8.0 mm (5/16”) Higher equivalencies are available.

Lead Glass is available in the following equivalencies: 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.2mm. These lead equivalencies are based on 150kV. Lead X-ray glass with higher lead equivalencies is available upon request.

The criteria to prevent penetration of X-Ray radiation through the door up to certain limits depend on the intensity and density of generated radiation from machines or equipments available in the room or laboratory.

We supply Lead Lined Doors according to specific customer’s requirements of the generated radiation intensity and density and the specified test standards.

Lead Lined Doors are also available in Fire Rated category, maximum Lead Lined door size tested for fire rating is:

900 mm W x 2100mm H Single Leaf

1800 mm W x 2100mm H Double Leaf

For larger size Lead Lined and Fire Rated Door, and oversize certificate letter can be provided.
