Cable Tension Meter

Our wire tension meter models available to measure up to 1,000 lb tension in flexible cable diameters as large as. 625".It is easy to read dials in lb or ky The Model C-Series Cable Tension Meters are designed to measure static as well as slow-moving tensions in configurations such as: cable, wire, rope, guy wires, as well as narrow rectangular wire, bands, and straps. For dynamic tension measurement of line speeds in excess of 25 feet per minute, permanent mounting is advised.
  • Direct Reading Dials eliminate the need for reference tables.
  • Calibration is simple with the built-in micrometer adjustment.
  • Engagement and disengagement onto materials is quick and easy.
The C-Series cable tension meters are portable mechanical instruments which weigh approximately 6 lb and are made of non-corrosive materials. For instrument ranges 500 lb and lower, the meter width is 16.75". Higher range instruments have a maximum width of 19.75". Each instrument is provided with a sturdy polyethylene carrying case with dense foam inserts to protect the meter. Made in the U.S.A. The diameter and rigidity of your cable constructions will determine the instrument best suited for the application, but the line speeds of your processes must also be considered. Although the cable tension meters are extremely versatile, it is not always possible to measure tension in all of your processes with one type of instrument (or one instrument model). Kindly contact one of our application engineers for help in selecting the right instrument for your specific application.

Digital Force Gauge

Digital Force Gauge

Tensitron's digital force gauge measure from 0.5 pounds up to 500 pounds over several models. Basic models are available with no computer outputs, as well as highly sophisticated units that provide memory, a variety of outputs, and the ability to compute statistics.

Ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of your hand, the rugged, all-metal construction of the microprocessor-controlled FGV and FGE Series permits accurate measurement of compression and tension forces up to 100 pounds (force testing 0-500 pounds is available using the FGV-H and FGE-H Series gauges). With the same superior accuracy of the DFS series, the FGV and FGE feature a unique, push-button inverted digital display, permitting the user to read the display in a right side-up fashion. For handheld or test stand mounting use, the FGV and FGE are ideal for R&D, OEM and production floor applications. The FGV Series includes all FGE features plus RS232C and analog outputs and an overload output signal.

The DFS Series of push-pull force gauges have exceptional flexibility in data collection and function analysis. Capture events in NDT and/or DT set-ups, and download data for later use.
