Cyaniding Salt
LCN-870 :- Salt in used for liquid carburizing. It producers a file hard wear resistance surface on ferrous parts. When steel is heated above Ac1, the surface of the steel absorbs both carbon and nitrogen from the molten bath. Salt gives cases less in carbon and more in nitrogen than in case of liquid carburizing. Operating Temperature - 760 oC – 870 oC. Aging Time - 4 to 8 Hours at 700 oC (During Aging No Economizer is used.)

| Gas Carburizing Drip
Gas Carburizing Drip – GCD is a gas – carburizing – liquid for carburizing the steels in Gaseous State. The GCD is proprietary compounds of hydrocarbons and oxygenated hydrocarbons. GCD normally fed in droplet form to a target plate in the furnace where it volatilizes almost instantaneously. The vapor dissociates thermally to provide a carburizing atmosphere containing, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and methane and water vapor. Forced fan circulation serves to distribute the atmosphere evenly throughout the furnace and to promote temperature uniformity. The fan re-circulates the "spent" gas which acts as a carrier gas and dilutes the rich gas to present excessive sooting. Operating Temperature - 845oC to 925oC
Operating Time - 2 Hour to 36 hour Depending on the case depth

Neutral salt work as Austenitizing salt for tool steels in Heat – treatment of steels. Working Range :- 970oC -1350oC 4 N.S – 830 – Neutral Salt 830 is used for Hardening Chromium rust resistance steel which include steels used for cutlery. Neutral salt 830 is used for hardening tool steels containing 2% carbon, 12% chromium and many others Hot working steels. Working range :– 830oC – 1100oC N.S. – 1100 – Neutral salt 1100 is a decarburizing free salt especially when tools after hardening are not required to be ground on each side of the cutting edges of steel tools. Working Range:- 1000oC – 1300oC

| Quenching Salts (Cholorides Based)
Quenching Salts Tempering Salts Tempering /Quenching Salt – 540 : Tempering salt is chloride based quenching salt for quenching of tools in high speed steel, or Austenitized steel from neutral salt – 970 bath. It working range in 540oC – 700oC. Tempering /Quenching Salt -495 : Tempering Salt is chloride based Quenching Salt for quenching of High speed steels and T.S. 495 is also used for hardening/Tempering in temperature range of 4950C - 7000C. QSR (Quenching Salt Reducer) : This is a specially formulated reducing or degassing salt used for lowering the temperature of quenching salt / tempering salt which are have raised due to quenching bath. This upsets the eutectic composition and increases melting point thereby causing freezing of the top layer of the molten salt. This imbalance can be corrected by periodic addition of Quenching Salt Reducer, to restore quench bath fluidity.

Annealing Salt
Neutral Salt – 650 :- N.S. – 650 is used for annealing low, medium and high carbon steel. It is used in metla pots in electrode furnace. N.S. – 650 is used for gray Iron. Annealing of gray iron consists of heating it to a temperature up to 720oC / high enough to soften it, thus improving its machinability. As the temperature increases above 590oC. The rate at which iron-carbide decomposes to Ferrite – Graphite increases markedly, reaching a maximum at lower transformation temperature (760oC for unalloyed or low alloy iron) Working range – 680oc – 760oc Erritizing anneal - 704oc – 760oc for 1 hour Medium ("full") - 787oc - 898oc for 1 hour Grahitizing anneal - 898oc – 954oc 15m –1 hour

Heat Transfer Salt
Heat Transfer Salt - 538 – Freshly prepared HTS-538 is a white, granular solid; when melted, pale yellow. HTS-538 is an eutectic mixture of water-soluble, inorganic salts. It is a heat transfer medium for heating and cooling between 300-11000F (149-5380C) that is used in process operations, such as reactor temperature maintenance, high-temperature distillation, reactant preheating, rubber curing and rotational molding. Working Range : - 149 - 5380C Spinnerets, spinning heads, strainers, extruder screws and other polymer handling equipment may be cleaned of polymers by immersion in a molten oxidizing eutectic salt mixture HTS-538. This procedure has the obvious advantage of oxidizing the polymer from precision surfaces at relatively low temperatures with negligible corrosion pitting or dimension change. HTS-538 is used because it has a low melting point (2880F/1420C), high heat transfer coefficient, thermal stability, and low cost. It is non fouling – a commonly recognized defect of many organic heat transfer media. HTS is nonflammable, non explosive and evolves no toxic vapors under recommended conditions of use. HTS-538 keeps investment and operating costs to a minimum. It can be used at atmospheric pressure which eliminates the necessity for expensive, high-pressure equipment. It has a low degree of corrosivity toward common materials of construction. Plain carbon steel, for example, can be used for installations that operate up to 8500F (4540C)
