Rust Removers

The product Rust-Mukt is developed under an extensive research and development program. Rust-Mukt is an unique neutral type rust remover. Rust-Mukt is an environmentally friendly and biodegradable water based product. It can remove rust from rusted M.S Part, auto-components, rusted tools and centered components etc. This chemical is neutral in nature pH 6 to 7 has good rust removing properties .

Process:-

Pre - clean the article to remove oil and dirt, Rinse with water . Immerse the article or rusted part in RUST - MUKT chemical till rust is totally removed and allow the article to dry. Then, dip the
article in POLYSEAL-2 (Rust - Inhibitor for 2 minutes) for long time storage of parts.

 

Deeply rusted parts may require 12 to 24 hours time for soaking, RUST-MUKT is reusable till it stop functioning or stop rust removing.

 

Disposal :- You may directly dispose it into sewage without any treatment as the chemical is neutral and biodegradable in nature.

RUST REMOVER-17

(Heavy Duty Rust a Scale Remover) By Cold and hot process

Rust Remover-17 is Phosphoric Acid based rust remover formulated to remove heavy rust and scales effectively by hot dipping process. Rust Remover-17 converts the surface into a complex Iron-Phosphate Compound which is totally passive to oxidation.

 

Rust Remover-17 effectively cleans the surface with light etching. Attack on Metal minimized by incorporation of suitable inhibitors. The solution contain both solvent as well as detergent type of degreasing agent to give fast degreasing action. It also minimize paint blistering, removes the oxide film rapidly and promotes good paint adhesion. Carry over into subsequent phosphate treatment will not interfere with the processing.

 

It involves expensive equipments for operation. It confirms to the requirement of DEF-37. OPERATING CONDITION BY COLD DIP:

Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST REMOVER-17 with 2 parts water and dip the rusty parts for 10-30 minutes, depending upon the type and quantity of rust to be removed.

 

HOT-DIP METHOD:

Concentration                 :     25%

Temperature                    :     50 70°C (Not more than 80°C)

Time                             :     10 Minutes

Application                     :     Dipping

 

Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST REMOVER-17 with 3 parts of water and immerse the parts at about 50-70°C for 5-20 minutes in case of Ferrous Metals. For Aluminum, dip the components for few minutes at 60-70°C. After removing from this bath, the parts are rinsed with water and do Hot Phosphate treatment.

 

WIPE METHOD

Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST REMOVER-17 with 2 parts water, and apply this solution on rusty steel bodies by steelwool on by brush. Allow to react with the surface for about 10 minutes and then wash with water by jet spray.

 

RINSING

After the immersion in R.R.-17 bath, the work should be rinsed throughly in clean water and subjected to phosphating process.

 

If subsequent painting is required after R.R.-17 application work should be throughly cleaned with plain water and further dipped in Hot Passivator-P solution for few seconds.

 

Dipping in PASSIVATOR-P solution minimise staining during drying and slightly improves corrosion resistance. PASSIVATOR-P dipping slightly acidifies the surface before drying which servies as a good base for paint.

 

BATH MAINTENANCE

RUST REMOVER-17 bath can be maintained by simple titration and does not not require any skill labour or chemical knowledge. Bath should be maintained at operating level with recommended concentration. Freshly prepared bath acts rapidly but the action gradually decreases due to the accumulation of ferrous ion concentration in the bath.

 

Increase in the temperature at this stage accelerates the derusting action but the temperature should be controlled and it should not go above 70°C.

 

Rust-remover-pf

This is an inhibited phosphoric acid base derusting chemical having an activator to remove heavy rusted parts within 10-15 minutes. This leaves no sign of pitting in heavily rusted area. There is a conversion of metal to metal; iron oxide is removed and iron phosphate is deposit on the surface forming complex iron phosphate. After removing rust and scale part should be rinsed in clean running water and do hot phosphating process in phoscoat zn-d g. R. Chemical or super-phos-1410.

Rust-convertor-ifp

Rust convertor is such an active chemical that is reacts in depth with all the rusty layers and forms a protective films which prevents further rust formation.

 

Rust convertor-ifp a triple action on rust-

 

(i)         pentrates through all the rust layer's

(ii)         Reacting with ail the rust deposits and converting them to a metallo-orqanic compound of a hard blue to brown-black colour.

(iii)        Stablizing and binding or rust layer's into a 100% protective neutral coats.

 

Advantages:-

 

Paints applied over rust-convertor ifp coating are 3 to 4 times more durable when applied on rusty surfaces. It has very easy applications with little labour. No special equipments are needed. Rust removing operations eliminated as rust converter ifp is meant for rust surfaces to convert into more useful and hard blue to brown-black protection coating. It is guarantee of long lasting protection.

 

Uses

 

Ship building structures, factory structures, storage tanks, heavy machinery and enginearing equipment, steels frames, cranes, pipes oil refinery, steel structures and various other uses of all rusted prior to painting or repaniing.

 

Drying Time

 

it dries within 1/2 to 1 hour depending upon the weather and atmospheric condition. Coverage:approximat 16 sq. Meter/per liters.

 

Compatability With Paints

Rust converters ifp is compatible with the paints. Further coat of paints or any organic coating can be applied after 12 hour's of the application of rust-convertor ifp.

 

Rust convector ifp produces a dull grey black coating. If shiny coating and better protection is required. We suggested an application of d. T. P. -50 a hard film type rust preventing over rust converter ifp. There after surface can be painted.

 

How to use

 

It is directly applied on the iron and steel surfaces whether rusty or non-rusty. But if the surface is greasy, oily or dirty, it must be cleaned by using our emulsion type pre cleaner by dipping, or loose rust also must be removed in order to ensure the smooth application of rust - convertor ifp by hard brush.

K.C.- 15/2 EMULSION

K.C. 15/2 is a milky emulsion rust inhibitor to impart anti-corrosion properties and it also contains biocide to prevent bacterial growth in the emulsion. This emulsion has superior cooling of properties (Endothermic reaction) after acid cleaning of metals which imparts excellent surface finish and minimize metal lose. It is also recommended for a variety of cutting operations on Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals.
