Thermo- Microbalance (TGA- Thermogravimetric Analyzer)

TG 209 F3 Tarsus - Thermo-Microbalance (TGA-Thermogravimetric Analyzer)

Together with the DSC 200 F3 Maia®, the new thermo-microbalance, TG 209 F3 Tarsus, represents a cost-effective overall concept, tailored not only to the quality assurance of polymers, but also to routine applications in the fields of organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food.

This new basic instrument for thermogravimetric measurements offers already a resolution of 0.1 µg. The TG 209 F3 Tarsus operates between room temperature and 1000°C with freely selectable heating rates from 0.001 K/min up to 100 K/min. The accurate sample temperature is detected by a thermocouple in direct contact with the sample crucible. Through the reliable vertical construction with sample carrier lift, the thermo-balance as a top-loader, is easy and safe to use, with no hang-down wires or exposed fragile parts.

  • NEW: The fifth generation of the Proteus® measurement and analysis
software has been released.

The calculated DTA-signal c-DTA® (option) not only is ideal for temperature calibration. During sample measurements it yields important information regarding endothermal processes (e.g. vaporization with mass loss or melting without mass loss) as well as exothermal reactions.

For the TG 209 F3 Tarsus we offer an automatic sample changer (ASC) for up to 20 samples also in different crucible types.

TGA- Thermogravimetric Analyzer

TG 449 F3 Jupiter - Thermo-Microbalance (TGA- Thermogravimetric Analyzer)
The TG 449 F3 Jupiter® is the workhorse for thermogravimetric analyses of a moderate to high sample weights from -150°C into the high temperature range of 2000°C.

The vertical design with top-loaded samples ensures total protection of the balance, which is on the bottom, through accurate flow of the purge and protective gases in a natural vertical path to the top, with optimal conditions for coupling FTIR and MS gas analysis systems to the heated furnace outlet.
The TG sample carriers are always equipped with a thermocouple for direct measurement of the temperature at the sample.

The high capacity of the balance along with constant resolution over the entire weighing range provide the best conditions for using the wide variety of ceramic or metallic sample crucibles and pans in different shapes and sizes.

Of course, vacuum-tight construction providing for pure atmospheres goes without saying.

The TG 449 F3 Jupiter® is designed for upgrading to simultaneous TG-DSC or simultaneous TGA-DTA. The TGA sample carriers can be exchanged with TGA-DSC or TGA-DTA sample carriers in a matter of seconds so that a very cost-effective upgrade can be made at any time into a full-fledged, universal STA.

The TG 449 F3 Jupiter® is one of the versatile TGA systems for routine use in material research and development as well as in quality assurance – primarily in the area of inorganics.

TG 449 F1 Jupiter - Thermo-Nanobalance (TGA-Thermogravimetric Analyzer)
The TG 449 F1 Jupiter® is number one among thermo-nanobalances because of the concept of a vacuum-tight instrument design and the successful combination of the highest resolution and unsurpassed long-term stability.

Flexibility for all applications involving organic and inorganic samples is achieved with six exchangeable furnaces for the broad temperature range of -150°C to 2000°C and with a multitude of sample carriers and crucibles.

The vertical design and top-loaded samples ensure total protection of the digital ultra-nanobalance, which is on the bottom, through accurate flow of the purge and protective gases in a natural vertical path to the top. This also provides optimal conditions for coupling FTIR and MS gas analysis systems to the heated furnace outlet. The mass flow controllers for 3 gases are already integrated into the base instrument.

The TGA sample carriers are always equipped with a thermocouple for direct measurement of the temperature at the sample crucible. There are a number of different thermocouple types to choose from, depending on the application.
Unique is the isolation of the sample carrier from the balance upon automatic opening of the furnace to load a sample. This guarantees reliable mechanical protection of the high-resolution ultra-microbalance and thus a long service life.

From the outset, the TG 449 F1 Jupiter® was designed for upgrading for simultaneous TGA-DSC or simultaneous TGA-DTA. The TGA sample carriers are user-exchangeable within a matter of seconds, so a very cost-effective upgrade can be made at any time to an STA with superlative TGA and DSC and DSC-Cp or DTA performance.

The TG 449 F1 Jupiter® is the most powerful and versatile TGA system for research and development as well as all material characterization problems for the area of organic and inorganic materials.
