Nevatia Steel & Alloys Pvt. Limited, an ISO 9001 : 2000 accredited company, was incorporated in the year 1988 to manufacture Stainless Steel Wires for the International market. Our plants, equipped with comprehensive and modern manufacturing technologies, are situated at Tarapur, an industrial township, amongst the biggest in India and strategically located close to the port of Mumbai.

The company, promoted by Mr. S.R. Nevatia, having over 45 years experience in the steel and cement industries, undertook an expansion drive in 1995 increasing production capacity to 3000 MT per annum. Mr. Nikhil Nevatia, Executive Director and an alumnus of Harvard University, USA, focused on forward integration and as a result, diversified further into value added products like Stainless Steel Bright Bars and Fine Wires. Further, in the year 2004, the company added another plant to its existing facilities thereby increasing its total capacity to 9,000 MT (20 million lbs.) per annum.

Nevatia Steel Wires are manufactured in compliance with International Standards of Quality and are in accordance with the customer’s stringent specifications. Wires are made in a variety of grades in the size range of 0.10mm to 12.00mm diameter, having demanding applications in various fields making springs, screws, rivets, nails, sieves, wire mesh, fasteners, wall ties, kitchenware, EPQ for baskets and trolleys, filler wire, electrodes, etc. They are also used diversely in Automotive, Marine, Petrochemical, Food and Paper industries. The size range of Bright Bars varies from 2.50mm to 20.00mm in diameter.

Over the years, our products have been exported to a large part of the International community. Major destination countries include Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Poland, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, U.K., USA, and Vietnam among others.

The usage of Stainless Steel is witnessing a steady and sustained growth worldwide with ever increasing challenges on the competitive dynamics of the world steel industry. Our products have being exported to a large part of the international community

Our manufacturing facilities, strategically located at the industrial township of Tarapur (100 kms. from the port of Mumbai), have together a manufacturing capacity of 9,000 MT (20 million lbs.) per annum.

Plants are equipped with sophisticated solution annealing and pickling facilities, multiple wire drawing machines, bull blocks and wet drawing machines.
Heat treatment is done in state-of-the-art German design continuous bright annealing furnaces (18 head, 24 head, 32 head, 40 head, 48 head) that run on LPG. Despite the wire being subjected to temperatures in excess of 1,050 C, our own Ammonia Cracker plants ensure the inert atmosphere for producing bright wires.

With Dead block coilers and Pattern Lay equipment, wires are produced with large coil weights and are 'pattern laid' as per customer requirements.

Stringent supervision at every step of the production process ensures tight control on quality.

Keeping in line with the company's concern for environmental preservation, we have our own in-house Effluent Treatment Plants.

Special care is taken while packing to ensure that the product reaches its destination in 'mill fresh' condition. All precautions are taken to ensure sea-worthiness.

While packaging can be done as per the customer's specific instructions, our standard packaging for Wires is either in HDPE or bio-degradable Jute or special vapour-proof inhibitor paper. Further, it is set in specially designed Steel Crates (wood lined to avoid 'MS' to 'SS' contact), or Tubular Carriers (which are especially designed for easy stacking when empty). Supplies are also made in Euro coils / cheese coils and on Wooden reels and metal reels”.

Fine-Wires on spools are first shrink wrapped, then placed in corrugated boxes and finally can be supplied in Wooden or MS Crates. Bright Bar bundles, wrapped in HDPE, can be further packed in wooden boxes or as per our customer's specific requirement.
