About UsIn 1970’s, the industrial map in India was taking a head start .Mr.Banwari Lal Mehra and Mr.Vinod Mehra, the father and son duo took a bold initiative and set up one of the first Woolen Worsted spinning unit in Amritsar, a small town in the Indian state of Punjab, which was a big distribution centre for woolen shawls which were handcrafted in Kashmir.
With the onset of 2000, the first year when New diamond entered into the field of carded fabrics and yarn exports. The next generation Directors Vibhu Mehra & Sumit Mehra, have take the company to higher standard of effectively, professionalism and recognition.
Today New Diamond is a family of 1000 employees and workers running an entire vertical set up with 5 spinning units, 60 weaving machines and a complete fiber dyeing / scouring and fabric processing unit |
Quality Policy / ProcessesEquipped Laboratory
Our laboratory is conditioned and equipped with complete range of instruments for physical as well chemical test from spinning stage to the finished product.
Physical Lab bestowed with best card, speed frame, twister, pilling tester, count scale, weighing scale, crocking tester, tensile and tear testing machine.
Chemical lab equipped with sample beaker dyeing, hot air oven, perspiration meter, Ph meter . We are also equipped with spectrophotometer, and Gretag Macbeth light box.
We assured the best physical and chemical standard as per international requirement in woolen fabric.
Color matching
Color matching is most important part in woolen fabric, what we have achieved through using best quality of dyes and chemicals from multi-national manufactures like Dystar and Ciba.
We first use sample dying for lab-dips and prepare recipe using our equipped chemical laboratory.
We are achieving color matching parameter by using our equipment like spectrophotometer & Macbeth Light box.
