Krishna Somashekar is our principal designer and CEO.

Krishna has studied tool engineering, and has more than ten years of experience in product design and development, tool development and manufacturing.

Over these years, he has acquired advanced skills to use several of the major digital tools and software to model, design, and detail products. He has a good understanding of DFMA (Design For Manufacture And Assembly), and practices its principles and methods using his knowledge of electronics, functional components, mechanical components, materials, technology and manufacturing processes. He also has a good understanding of standard specifications and compliances, and can account for their diverse requirements in his designs.

He is also often able to continue to assist his customers with prototyping, prototype testing, tool design, tool development, material sourcing, vendor selection and trial production.

So that he is encouraged to innovate, he likes to, now and then, accept work that appears to require more than the knowledge, experience and skills he already has. This lets him stay ahead.

He believes that:

• Innovation must serve a need elegantly, economically and responsibly, and must be profitable.
• Genuinely creative product ideas and concepts shape product strategy, and facilitate innovation.
• Product design must add value to product ideas and concepts, and must strive to conserve resources.
• Product design and service or user experience design must work together.
• Industrial design must serve the intent of product design, and must meet demands of economical manufacture.
• Prototyping is important for product development, and is key to successful innovation.

• Tooling is even more important than prototyping, and is key to delivering product value.
