Keyless Transmission Element


Keyless Transmission Element

We are engaged in offering a wide range of Keyless Transmission Element to our customers. Preparing keyway is one of the difficult machining operations because of the high production cost due to various operation involved. Lateral shifting of Keyways is extremely difficult. To set the center line of the keyway exactly symmetrical and parallel with respect to the radial plane, heavy torsional stresses are concentrated at the corner of the keyway so that shaft is weakened. If there is a deviation in key way width and it is not parallel to the axis, it would lead to inaccuracy in key. The cumulative effect of these operational errors call for an alternative system-key less transmission.

 

Keyless Transmission Element offered by us entirely eliminates the disadvantages of key transmission, conventional shrink connections and also involved calculations. The extremely close machining tolerances create problems while fitting & removing parts and during repair work such as adjustment and exchanging. The product offered by us however do not face this problem. Key & polygon connections and spline shafts can easily be fitted and replaced.

 

The products offered by us have varied applications in different engineering fields. The elements present in this product are known to have great absorbing capacity of kinetic energy by elastic radial deformation of tapered rings. By a simple method of expansion of the outer & shrinkage of inner rings, frictional shaft & hub, connections are established, which transmits highest torques free from backlash.

Elements -Shrink disc fitted on hub forms locking connection by tightening standard hex head screws provided, with standard tools. The same transmissible torque value can be achieved by varying the nominal dimensions slightly when using the same clearances. After loosing the locking screws, element is released and the hub can be moved along the shaft.

 

Elements of these products are most suitable for securing all types of bosses and hubs on shafts and axles.





Freewheel One Way Clutch

Our organization also engages in providing a quality range of Freewheel One Way Clutch to our customers. The application of clutch reduces the cost compared to separately controlled couplings/brakes and ratchet arrangements in some design. Clutch is preferred over conventional solutions because of its safe operation and better automation. There is no driving contact between inner and outer ring while rotating in one direction. Driving contact between inner and outer ring transmits torque in the other direction of rotation. Clutches should never be dismantled at the users end. Keyways have radius instead sharp corner and to minimize critical stresses in keyway area of inner ring the keys must be chauffeured on their edges.

 

The functions of clutches are listed below:

Indexing/Feeding: Clutch is used to convert motion from a continuously rotating shaft on intermittent basis and by converting the reciprocating linear motion of a pneumatic/hydraulic cylinder into an intermittent rotary motion. Further, the rotary motion of the drive shaft is converted into an intermittent rotary motion by using a hold pin and by connecting rod attached to arm of the freewheel, whose arc of index can be varied as required by adjusting slot. When clutch is used as a indexing clutch, the key connections require to be free from play. The best indexing application can be achieved with unalloyed oils with a low degree of viscosity.


Overrunning: The inner ring of this product can rotate faster then the outer ring in same direction of input. When stopped, inner ring continues to rotate of input and if stopped inner ring continues to rotate at input speed and vice versa. If a large motor or turbine has to be up to speed by a slow speed starter motor, the use of freewheel between these elements enables the starter motor to be shut down without any mechanical involvement. If a freewheel is interposed in a drive between a gearbox/a large machine, the freewheel prevents any back drive or damage to gearbox if at all any power failure occurs.

Positive protection against reverse torque runaways of inclined conveyor or elevator installations, and adequate provision for the safety of operating personnel can be assured   The NHB Models can be installed   at input shaft of Gearbox  OR with  NHB.c (Enclosed model - Freewheel bearing support and   cover protection) can be used exterior side.

Normally, different bolted joints / connections are of necessity in Industries & these must get easily tightened and un-tightened as and when required. Bolted joints used in medium & heavy industries / plants, are require high tension force standard bolts / studs are required to use of bigger diameter. These bolts / studs are require more force (torque)/ efforts in tightening & untightening.

  • Direct replacement in place of standard hexagonal nut, required too low tightening force (torque) due to multi clamping (tightening) screws. Used for joints required high stretch (clamping force). Reusable, often.

  • Range: Various model & size from M24 / 1” & above.

  • Clamping Force / Tension: 128300N & above.

  • Tensioner Nut - Model TNS; TNG; TNC; etc; can be used   in place of Standard Hexagonal Nut.

  • Stretch & Stress the stud / bolt by tightening multy clamping screws.

  • Reduces considerable tightening torque, w.r.t. tightening of std. hex.nut.

Standard bolt -hex.nut used in such connections are tightened by the tightening systems, such as: Ordinary hand tool or Torque wrench / Hydraulic or Pneumatic impact wrench or Thermal tightening or sledge hammering methods. These systems do not allow easily to tightening nuts or bolts -of large diameter to the required force-tension to maintain continue operational conditions. However, when such connections, comes to untightening -normally, during maintenance, often creates problems and they can not be dismantled easily and then the only solution is to cut.
