Nordson Corporation, the Westlake, OH based manufacturer of precision dispensing equipment, first became active in India in 1988, through two agents, each handling a different product line. In 1990, these agency arrangements were terminated and Nordson set up its own Liaison Office in India, staffed by direct Nordson employees.With business growing rapidly in the mid-90s, a more direct presence was felt necessary, and in 1996, Nordson India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nordson Corporation, was incorporated. Today, Nordson India is present in four strategic locations in India. Its headquarters are in Bangalore (the photograph alongside shows the building owned and occupied by Nordson India.) In addition, it is present in the cities of Chennai, New Delhi and Pune. Nordson India Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for managing Nordson Corporation’s business managing Nordson’s interests in the seven countries of South Asia: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, The Maldives. With 53 direct employees, Nordson India Pvt. Ltd. carries out engineering, marketing, manufacturing and customer support activities required by Nordson’s customers in South Asia. In addition, Nordson India designs and develops next generation products and technologies for use in Nordson’s markets worldwide, including Hardware & Software solutions for several of Nordson’s Business Groups.
