The ZNCN/7002 Valve are extremely robust. They have been developed to general use on compressed air supplies, principally the main air lines feeding pneumatic circuits.
These valves can be used as 2-port on and off valve, or as 3-port valve producing an open exhaust feature, which allows the downstream side to be vented to atmosphere.
Its simplified construction (they have only one moving part) is such that only a simple 'push on' or 'push off' action is required to operate them.
Each valve is supplied with colored push button giving a clear indication of the valve position.

Operation of the Green push-button allows the air supply to the inlet port '1' to pass through the valve to the outlet port '1' when the red button is depressed with the sleeve in position the inlet and outlet ports are both completely sealed and the valve is able to perform a 'stop valve' function as a 2/2 valve. Removal of the sleeve enables the red button to be fully depressed to allow the outlet port to connect to exhaust via the slots in the position to provide a 3/2 function.
Nucon 2-port poppet valves fulfill many requirements not covered by other types of valves. They are simple 'on-off' valves and two would be required to control the supply air, and the exhaust to and from a single acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder would require four valves.
Two-port valves are particularly suited for locking purposes on hydro-pneumatic circuits. When so used the port connections are normally reversed. The ports should also be reversed when these valves are used pneumatically at pressures up to 10 bar.
The ZNCN/5022 is a universal solenoid valves designed to meet all general requirements. This can be employed as seperate 3/2 solenoid units directly controlling small cylinders or acting as pilot relay valves for pressure operated vavles with a larger flow capacity. They are also used as solenoid pilots directly mounted on a variety of directional control valves.
These rugged valves have been specifically designed for heavy-duty applications. with internal parts manufactured from corrosion resistant materials and using heavy duty mechanisms, they are ideally suited to arduous conditions such as exist in foundries, steelworks and Quarries.
Alternative porting positions are standard. These valves can also be used in the normally open condition, at pressures up to 7 bar.
A piston fitted with O-ring seals is arranged to slide in the body bush assembly by means of the operating mechanism. The bush is drilled with a series of holes connecting by an annuls with each of the valve ports in the valve body. The arrangement of the O-ring grooves and the holes is such that different ports are interconnected by movement of the piston.
On the ZNCN/562 range of valves the main air supply can usually be connected to any of the five threaded ports. But in case of valves utilizing an air return mechanism (stroke 45) the main air supply must be connected to the 'inlet' port as the integral pilot supply is taken from this port. They are also of the 'supply sealed mid-position' type which means that when the piston is in the mid-position, the supply port only is isolated and sealed. Valve units of the ZNCN/564 series are externally and dimensionally the same as the ZNCN/562 types, the difference being that the ZNCN/564 fully sealed mid-position. In the mid-position all the ports are sealed and isolated from one another. Versions are fully sealed in the mid-position in other words, when the piston is in the mid-position, all five ports are sealed and isolated from one another.
