The main reason behind snoring is obstruction of air movement during breathing while sleeping. When upper airways are narrowed and there is a occurrence of soft pliant upper airway tissue, particularly when soft palate and uvula vibrate rapidly and flap leading to the snoring sound. In the primary stage it can only bother other people but when upper airways crumple or there is a severe obstruction during breathing then it is sign of danger and is termed as obstructive sleep apnoea.
Parasomnia is a category of abnormal sleep disorder. It involves abnormal movements like sleep talking, sleep walking, behaviours, emotions, perceptions, and bad dreams or night terrors that happen while falling asleep, sleeping, between sleep stages, or during awakening from sleep. Such behaviours are also termed as Non-REM (Non-Rapid Eye Movement) sleep behaviour disorders as they are more visible during Non-REM sleep period. The dreaming stage of sleep is termed as Rapid Eye Movement or REM sleep. Usually, in REM sleep when we are dreaming our brain is active but body is physically inactive or paralysed and hence we don’t react. But in case of any deformity in controlling our muscles during REM sleep, we see abnormal physical behaviour. This sometime get severe and patient suffering from this can react violently also. This is also known as REM sleep behaviour disorder. Therefore, it is very important to identify signs of Parasomnia which is followed by proper treatment.
Sleep apnoea is a type of sleep disorder where patient takes pauses during breathing or occasionally takes shallow or irregular breathing during sleep. The pause of airflow is only of 10 seconds or more during sleep. Obstructive type of sleep apnoea is found in most of the people and is characterised by narrowing of upper airway. The second type of sleep apnoea which is less common is central apnoea. It can be caused due to in synchronization or temporary absence of stimulus to breath. Both these types can lead to drop of oxygen supply in our blood, resulting in hazardous conditions
Insomnia is a kind of disorder with inability to fall asleep. It can be both sign and a symptom which can come with many medical or psychiatric disorders. It can continue for years or even decades. Insomnia is associated with many other problems and can cause serious harms to the patient’s health. There are mainly three types on Insomnia

• Sleep Maintenance type
• Mix of Sleep Onset and Sleep maintenance typ
