Quality Policy / ProcessesResearch and Development has always been a major element of Oboi's manufacturing operations. A self-regulating R&D department staffed by well qualified chemists is involved in a range of research efforts, ranging from the development of different formulations and the investigation of new applications for existing products thereby upgrading formulation effectiveness and improving drug delivery systems. Oboi in-house manufacturing facility operates a Microbiological Laboratory, well equipped with the most contemporary facilities, to conduct the routine and the in-depth microbiological testing, in order to establish product protocols and to validate sterilization processes. In-depth tests are operated to assess raw materials, bulk and finished formulations. In addition there is on-going microbiological monitoring of working procedures in process areas and microbiological analysis on products. Promising opportunities for medical advances will soon be further explored in a well-equipped R&D Laboratory being developed by Oboi. The new laboratory services will also be extended in order to offer research on a contract basis.
