Oriental Engineering Works Pvt Ltd. was established in 1933 at Lahore (now in Pakistan) and began with the manufacture of Cold Start Horizontal Diesel Engines. The company shifted its premises to the present site at Yamuna Nagar after partition of India. Later , the company started the manufacture of Hydraulic Equipment and is presently manufacturing High Pressure Cylinders, Pumps and Hydraulic applications upto 700 Bar (10,000psi). The company started its exports in 1986 and made a major thrust in the Nineties. The products are being exported to a large number of European countries , U.S.A. , Canada, Australia, UK , Russia, Middle East, East Africa, South Africa and South East Asia.

ORIENTAL ENGINEERING has followed a systematic policy of upgradation in design and manufacturing. It now offers a complete range of 700 Bar (10,000psi) product range for Cylinders, Pumps, Tools, Components etc. We have also entered in the field of manufacture of VACCUM DEWATERING PISTON PUMPS. Besides we also engage in customized products. The company's growth in the last few years has been appreciable. The major customers are Heavy Engineering Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Shipyards and Port Trusts , Oil Refineries, Coal Mines, Constructions Companies, Hydroelectric Projects, Defence , Thermal Power Plants etc. etc.

With a strength of 300 members , are spread across the area of 20,000 sq. meter area, the company houses its own design department with pro-engineering facilities, Machine Shops, Assembly Shops, Foundry, Surface Plating , Heat Treatment, Fabrication, Sheet Metal Shop, Laboratory, Metrology etc. All the required testing facilities for sub assemblies and finished products exist in the company.
