Insulating Varnish Polyohmer

The range is recommended for impregnation of high speed rotor in electrical hand tools, kitchen motors, vacuum cleaners, locomotive motors and other machines exposed to frequent high loads. It is suitable for heavy duty equipment which is subject to mechanical vibrations at centrifugal stresses.

 Distinctive Properties & suggested uses

 • Polyohmer B-165 is an alkyd /phenolic resin based baking impregnating varnish having thermal class-B (Temperature 130°C).
 • It is suitable for the impregnation of electrical coil & windings of motors & transformers. Coils and armature windings impregnated with Polyohmer B-165 and baked correctly are sufficiently rigid to withstand high rotational speed without throwing of distorting such electrical hand tools.
• Polyohmer B-165 is also used for high voltage machines and devices which are exposed to humidity and tropical conditions.
• The cured varnish film gives high build, extra high bonding strength performance, greater flexibility, toughness, rigid properties and is resistance to chemicals, mild acids, alkalies & hot transformer oils.
• Polyohmer B-165 can be used in explosion proof electrical equipments.

The cured varnish film is characterized by hard and tough film, moisture and chemical resistance against dilute acids, alkalies and transformer oils.

Application Method
Polyohmer XL-FD can be applied by spraying, brushing and dipping methods. The varnish filled tank is covered tightly to prevent losses of solvents, ensuring the viscosity is well maintained. Polyohmer XL-Thinner is used to get optimum viscosity for required application.

UsesPacking The range is available in following packs : • POLYOHMER XL-FD: 200ml, 500ml, 1 lt and 5 ltrs in PET bottles and 20 ltrs and 200 liters in M.S. Drums. • THINNER XL: 1 liter, 5 liter in PET bottles and 20 liter and 200 liters in M.S. Drums.

It is a baking impregnating varnish that is useful for Thermal Class B ( 130ºC ). The cured varnish film is characterized by resistance to moisture and chemicals, excellent bonding strength, good dielectric properties, quick drying and curing, good flexibility, very good penetration power.

• Polyohmer B-195 is used as a baking varnish with shorter curing schedule for impregnation of windings of motor stators and transformers.

Further, these varnish films possess excellent dielectric properties, volume resistively, bonding strength and adhesion. The cured varnish film is resistant to humidity, mild acids and alkalis and transformers oils and have exceptional toughness. Used for class “F” 155°C extendable polyohmer F-IX varnish film is compatible with most types of insulation.

Application
POLYOHMER F-IX can be used for superior performance on stators, armatures transformers and coils. Because of high bond strength, it is used for high speed armatures such as a power tools without staving. It is suitable for electrical equipment like large machines requiring increased flexibility, polysterimide wires and fibre glass covering conductors. It can be used as binder varnish for glass mica sheets.

How to use
POLYOHMER F-IX varnish can be used as dipping, spraying and brushing methods. It can be used with vacuum application, having very good tank stability, The shelf life of varnish is 12 months in closed condition. Because of air drying nature viscosity can be maintained with POLYOHMER F-99 Thinner.

Polyohmer A1-FD is an air-drying insulating varnish based on phenolic resin. Useful for thermal Class B (130°C), it is used as finishing varnish and impregnating varnish to protect electrical machines and appliances against moisture and chemicals like dilutes acids, alkalies and transformer oil. The elastic varnish film is characterized by very good mechanical properties such as hardness, flexibility, penetration, adhesion and bonding strength. The cured film is resistant against moisture, dilutes acids, alkalies, chemicals like benzene & Toluene oils and tropical climate from 0°C to 55°C. It has good dielectric behavior and dielectric strength.

Application Method
Polyohmer A1-FD can be applied by spraying, brushing & dipping methods. Curing occurs at room temperature but can be made faster by heat. The supplied viscosity is used in application methods and second coat is done after 60 minutes, if desired.

Uses
Polyohmer A1-FD is used as a finishing, impregnating & coating varnish for stators, transformer, electric motors, transformer oil tanks, synthetic resins, stamping stacks, bonded phenolic laminates, circuit boards. Polyohmer A1-FD is also used to protect electrical appliances against chemicals & moisture.

Curing Schedule
• 8 to 10 hours at room temp (250C - 350C) or 1-2 hours at room temperature followed by 4 to 6 hours at 800 - 1000C
• Specimen Curing :- 48 hours of room temperature for each coat • Test according to IEC 464-II / IS 10026-II-1982

Packing
The range is available in following packs :
• Polyohmer A1-FD:- 200ml., 450gm., 900gm. & 4kgs. In PET bottles of 21 kg. & 180 kg. in metal containers.
• Thinner 145:- 850g., 4, 20 & 165 kg in metal containers.

 
Distinctive Properties & suggested uses.Polyohmer Fin (Red/Grey) is an air drying finishing varnish based on alkyd Resin. It is Red/Grey Pigmented quick air-drying, anti-tracking, Protective coating with good moisture, chemical resistance and excellent toughness .

Polyohmer Fin (Red/Grey) is used as a finishing. Varnish for stators, Armatures, Transformers, coils and other electricals devices to give Extra protection against chemicals, Moisture to the varnished windings.Polyohmer Fin (Red/Grey) can be applied by spraying, brushing & dipping methods.Polyohmer Fin (Red/Grey) contains pigments & fillers which have tendency to settle down on storage in layers. Hence it is necessary to stir the contents to a homogenous mass before use.
