Azad Engineering Company was established in the year 1951 by karmyogi Late S. Saudagar Singh Ji. He was an engineer from the Lahore University which is now in Pakistan. His efforts and utmost sincerity in his work turned a small workshop into a fully fledged factory and since then Azad has grown into a very strong brand in the field of oil mill machinery.

After his sudden demise the legacy was taken over by his youngest son S. Gurjit Singh who at present is the proprietor of Azad Engineering Company. Under his command the company has undergone many changes as earlier our sales were restricted to domestic markets only but now we are exporting our products to various international markets like Nigeria, Sudan, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Bhutan, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya, Uganda, Mali, Burkina faso, Zimbabwe etc. Azad as a brand is now well known internationally also for its quality and after sales service. Earlier the company used to deal in Oil Mill machinery only, but now under the new leadership our product mix includes oil mill machinery, food processing machinery, renewable energy equipments like mini hydro turbines, solar power equipment, hand pumps etc.
