Type Gratings ( Skid Free ) |
Introduction Skid Free Gratings are manufactured in
vast ranges & various specifications. Some of the most commonly used
specification are indicated here.
Rectangular Pattern
RP-40 : Most commonly used gratings having bearing bar spaced at
C/C 40 mm and cross bar spaced at C/C 100mm
XRP-40 : Having bearing bar spaced at C/C 40 mm and cross bar
spaced at C/C 50 mm
RP-30 : Having bearing bar spaced at C/C 30 mm and cross bar
for higher load carrying capacity
XRP-30 : Having bearing bar spaced at C/C 30 mm and cross bar
spaced at C/C 50 mm

| Stair
Treads |
Stair Treads: Small Gratings panels used for iron stair cases
are known as stair treads. This are available with either chequred plate
nosing or cast iron abrasive nosing with carried plates to fix it to
stair stringer structure with suitable holes for bolt fixing.
For runs under 250 mm an overlap is recommended to give greater walking
comfort, Erection bolts are not included.
- Type A : Standard aluminium corrugated nosing
- Type B : Standard checkered plate nosing
- Type C : Special cast abrasive nosing
Both gratings/ stair treads can be fixed to supporting structure either
welded or bolted. Suitable clamping arrangement has already been show in
this catalogue.
