Established in the year 1983, we are an experienced company working as manufacturer, supplier and exporter of new generation chemicals and many proprietary formulations that are reckoned by our global clientele. We initiated in a small way with a meager investment of Rs. one lakh, and supplying molybdenum based chemicals in domestic industries. Over the past two decades and after reaching so many milestones, we have come up in a big way as one of the specialists in the field of iodine chemistry and have widened our business world over. With our endeavors in catering to several industries and research applications through our extensive assortment of chemicals, we have been able to establish goodwill, trust and confidence amongst a majority of our domestic and overseas clients. Our founder and present CEO, Mr. Pravin Herlekar is a qualified chemical engineer from a prestigious technological institute of Mumbai. His hard work in this field and to provide innovative solutions to various segments of the industry has made him establish “Omkar Specialty Chemicals”. His determination and zeal coupled with the dexterous efforts of his team have enabled the company to develop chemical intermediates and other iodine and selenium derivatives with unsurpassed quality.

We are also headed by Mr. S. R. Herlekar and Mrs. A. P. Herlekar, who serve as the directors of the organization whose visionary guidance has helped us in achieving our aim of client satisfaction.

We have left no stone unturned to make our quality standard unparalleled. The testimony of this is our in house quality department that assists us in proper quality check tests. Once the production starts, our quality inspectors closely monitor each facet of our production process to deliver impeccable quality to our clients.

We have in possession four manufacturing units that are strategically located notified industrial area of Maharashtra industrial development corporation (M.I.D.C) at Badlapur in Thane district of Maharashtra. With proximity to major the airports and seaports, our unit is well connected to Mumbai by rail as well as by road transport.

Equipped with sound power and water supply, our manufacturing plant stretches over a vast area of 75000 sq ft and is installed with an in house design unit. The homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions carried out at our manufacturing plant comprise the following:

We are instrumental in manufacturing a wide assortment of chemicals that are widely appreciated by our clients based in India as well as overseas market. Our comprehensive gamut includes Iodine Compounds, Selenium Compounds, Hypervalent Iodine, Molybdenum & Vanadium Series, Intermediates, and Intermediates for X-ray Contrast Media and Resolving Agents.

The iodine compounds formulated by us comprise Potassium Iodide, Sodium Iodide, Cuprous Iodide, Mercuric Iodide and Sodium Metaperiodate. Our range of Selenium Compounds encompasses Selenium Dioxide, Selenium Sulfide USP [Selenium Disulfide], Sodium Selenite and Sodium Selenate. The Hypervalent Iodine range of our complete gamut highlights O -Iodoxybenzoic Acid, Iodobenzene Dichloride, Iodobenzene Diacetate and Diphenyliodonium Iodide. The Molybdenum & Vanadium Series provided by us entails Ammonium Molybdate, Sodium Molybdate, Sodium Metavanadate and Vanadyl Sulphate.

Our array of intermediates includes 3,5-Dinitrosalicylic Acid, Bromoacetic Acid, 2-Quinoline Carboxaldehyde and 5-Nitrovanillin. The intermediates for x'ray contrast media provided by us encompasses 5-Nitroisophthalic Acid, 5-Nitro Isophthalic Acid Dimethyl Ester and 3,5- Dinitrobenzoic Acid. Lastly, our collection of resolving agents comprises Dibenzoyl-DTartaric Acid (Mono), Dibenzoyl-LTartaric Acid (Mono), Di-p-Toluoyl-DTartaric Acid (Anhyd / Mono), Di-p-Toluoyl-LTartaric Acid (Anhyd / Mono) and Di-p-Anisoyl-LTartaric Acid.
