Opex Slow speed Lister type water cooled diesel engine are manufactured under expert technical supervision. The Stationery Engine of Robust Construction, Simple in design, with best workmanship are ideal engine for agricultural applications catering to the needs of the agriculturist and industrialist also. Available in between 6 H.P to 12 H.P(4.4 kw to 8.80 kw) rating in Single Cylinder and 16 and 20 H.P in Twin Cylinder series. All these engines are manufactured as per IS : 11170-86. and each engine is tested as per IS : 1001-1981 to give continous rating.
AIR CLEANER:-
Oil Bath type Air Cleaner is provided to clean incoming air, Use of Clean air increases the life of Cylinder Liner.
COOLING:-
Engine cooling is efficiently handeled by a run-through water supply. A radiator or a cooling tank could also be provided if required, which increases the overall efficiency of the engine.
FUEL INJECTION EQUIPMENT:-
Original MICO (Bosch) or USHA Fuel Injection Equipments are used in our engines.
GOVERNING:-
A senstive centrifugal type Governor is mounted on camshaft gear wheel. Speed variation is controlled within limit to comply with B 1 Class Governing as mensioned in IS 10000-(Part-7) 1980
LUBRICATION:-
All internal moving parts of the engine are lubricated by splash system, when the connecting rod goes down with the piston in the sump of the lubricating oil.
ROTATION:-
Standard rotation is clockwise facing flywheel keeping exhaust on the left hand side.
Opex vertical, totally enclosed compression ignition, four stroke cycle, cold starting, air cooled Diesel Engines are manufactured with strict quality control and international standard to provide ultimate power to end users.
These engines are available in the range of 3.5 H.P to 9 H.P.(2.57 Kw-7.35Kw )rating in single cylinder and 12 H.P to 18 H.P in the twin cylinder category. These all engines are rated as per IS: 10001 & IS: 11170-1985.
COOLING:-
Cooling of the cylinder and head is done by a radial fan mounted on flywheel and is directed through a stream lined cowling, thus cooling the engine effectively.
GOVERNING:-
A sensitive centrifugal type Governor is mounted on camshaft gear wheel. Speed variation is controlled within limit to comply with B 1 Class Governing as mentioned in IS 10000-(Part-7) 1980. And Class 'A2' for genset applications.
LUBRICATION:-
Force feed lubrication is used for main and large end bearings and camshaft bush. Other working parts are lubricated by splash lubrication. By-passed filter is provided for cleaning the lubricating oil.
ROTATION:-
Standard rotation is clockwise looking at the flywheel. Engines with anti clock wise rotation can also be provided if specially ordered.
LUB OIL SUMP CAPACITY:-
For smooth running and longer life of the engine, the lubricating oil should be present at higher level mark on Dipstick.
STARTING:-
Manual hand cranking starts the engine. However 12 V electrical starting arrangement can be supplied at an extra cost.
STANDARD ACCESSORIES:-
Air Cleaner, Exhaust Silencer, Starting Handle, set of five spanner, Screw Driver and instruction manual is provided as standard accessories.
OPTIONAL:-
Radiator, Heavy flywheel, 12 V electrical starting, Lub. Oil pressure gauge, variable speed arrangements, anti-clockwise rotation, extra long extension shaft, flexible coupling, pulleys are available at an extra cost.

COMBUSTION:-
For low fuel comsumption and easy starting of the engine, there is an open type combustion chamber in an aluminium alloy piston in combination with long stem nozzle.
COOLING:-
Water Cooled engines are cooled by continous run through water circulation or radiator/cooling tank.
DRIVE:-
The flywheel end is used for the power to take off in an usual set-up. In case of special requirement, Power take-off from gear end at half or full engine speed can be provided.
FUEL SYSTEM:-
Fuel from the fuel tank is fed through an efficient paper element, which reaches the fuel pump by gravity.
FUEL TANK CAPACITY:-
It depends on the requiremnt of the end user, but the standard fuel tanks provided with engines
