About Us

M/s Orion was started in the year 1976 in Trichy, by a group of engineers led by Mr. Chandran Vethanayagam, a mechanical engineer by profession. The company began catering to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), as an ancillary unit in the early years soon growing to service all divisions of the energy sector such as Oil & Gas, Thermal power stations such as Tuticorion, Koradi, Korba and Vijaywada and Heavy engineering industries.

Orion has always consistently maintained 100% Quality as the chief element for success over its history of more than three decades. All welders are qualified according to of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section 9 and all products manufactured are regulated by ASME, Tube Engineers Manufacturing Association (TEMA) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
