In most urban families today, both the parents are working. The joint families have disintegrated and have become nucleus families wherein there is hardly any body to look after the small children. In joint families that still exist, where grand parents or grand uncle parents live together, most mothers do not like to leave children in their care because of psychological or educational or cultural reasons.
