Incepted in the year 1976, P-Met High Tech Company Private Limited is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of liquid penetrant products and non-ferrous fluxes. These includes PMC dye penetrant products, PMC instackeck products, PMC fluxes for aluminium alloys, PMC brons cover products, PMC surfex products, aluminium alloy fluxes and copper flux products.

Offered and marketed under the brand name of "PMC," Liquid Penetrant Products are successfully used in nuclear & atomic energy, petrochemicals, oil refineries, chemical and fertilizer units and automobiles. We have also got product approvals from some of the prestigious Organizations such as Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Indira Gandhi Centre of Atomic Research, Director General of Civil Aviation and Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Research Designs & Standards organisation (Railways). We are continuously progressing under the able guidance of our Founder and Mentor Mr. Devendra Mehta. Capitalizing on his experience and expertise in this industry, we have been able to carve a niche for ourselves in this domain. Our Associations

We have association with Ward D. Rummel, who is a major contributor in NDT technology. Owing to his experience and expertise, we take his advice on different aspects of liquid penetrant technology that includes its system and application. He has been awarded with 'Robert C. McMaster Gold Medal' by the American Society of Non-Destructive Technology and the 'Lincon Award' by US Air Force. Ward D. Rummel is considered to be an expert of nondestructive evaluation engineering and engineering project management. He specializes in solid rocket motors, missiles, aircraft, aircraft engines and spacecraft systems. Further, he is the inventor of the characterization and quantification of nondestructive processes by the probability of detection (POD). He is also the leading authority and trustee of a leading consulting firm known as D&W Enterprises, LTD. The different units of India that invited Mr. Rummel to deliver lectures on NDT field are Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Air India and Indian Society of Non - Destructive Testing. He also developed a book known as "NDE Capabilities Data Book", used as a standard reference across the world. The technical expertise of Mr. Rummel is requested in support of educational, government and industry programs. Moreover, he is now engaged in the Air Force NDI Advisory Board and the Federal Aviation Administration Nondestructive Evaluation Working Group.

We are also associated with M/s. Sherwin Incorporation, USA that is an established supplier of Liquid penetrant products across the world. It has been established by Late Amos G. Sherwin, recipient of the "2003 Robert C. McMaster Gold Medal". Having the industrial experience of over 40 years in the NDT field, he was a major innovator and contributor to liquid penetrant testing technology. His major contribution to NDT technology was the PSM-5 test panel acclaimed across the world. He has a BS in business from the University of Southern California and also different patents and patent disclosures. Currently, the unit is headed by Dr. Ronald Sherwin and assisted by Mr. Sam Robinson. Some of the major customers of Sherwin Incorporation, USA are Boeing, Martin Marietta, US Civilian Airlines, Airbus Industries, Aerospace Industries, US Air Force and Hindustan Aeronautics, Air India.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is built taking into account all the necessary requirements of chemical industry. Spread across a sprawling area of 10,000 square feet. Our sophisticated manufacturing facility is equipped with requisite machinery to formulate quality liquid penetrant products and non-ferrous fluxes in conformation with industrial requirements.

Our Non-Destructive Testing Facility

We are also supplying equipment used in liquid penetration and supply Liquid Penetrant Products Inspection System from the continuous automatic movement or hand operated movement in bench size or large size. Below mention is surface preparation for test specimen:
  • Surface should be free from foreign matter which prevents penetration
  • Dust and dirt can be removed using a piece of cloth
  • Rust, paint & wax must removed from the testing surface using wire brush
  • Grease and oil must removed from the surface using PMC Cleaner
Application of Penetrant: The PMC penetrant is applied by dipping, spraying or brushing, keeping in mind that the surface areas are covered adequately. For penetration into defects a 5 to 10 minutes time is sufficient (penetrant dwell time). Moreover, optimum period can be ascertained by trial only.

Excess Penetrant must be removed from the Testing Surface using a piece of clean cloth or absorbent paper. Following are the methods of removing excess penetrant from test surface in special cases:
  • Use water spray if penetrant is water washable type
  • Use cloth or absorbent paper moistened with solvent if penetrant is solvent removable base
  • Use emulsifier for emulsifying penetrant and water spray if it is a post-emulsifying penetrant
Application of Developer: It has to be applied as soon as possible, after removal of excess penetrant from the test surface. Following are the applications of developer: 
  • Wet developer should be used with color contrast penetrant
  • Wet or dry developer may be used with fluorescent penetrant
This ensures that the coating thickness is sufficient or excessive to influence the defect indications. Moreover, we inspect the testing surface to check the discontinuity in-
"daylight, if visible color contrast red or pink penetrant is used" and under Black Light Lamp, if fluorescent penetrant is used for performence test of liquid penetrant products.
