Technical Manager, Liquid Inks

We require Technical Manager having main accountabilities:
- Provide Proactive support to the Sales team in terms of application support for Flexible packaging inks.
- Cleanup and manage the Product Assortment and technology to improve quality, reduce cost and complexity. Ensure that the various finished inks use a defined blending guide and all obsolete items are removed from the system.
- Communication and Coordination with Asia Technology Head and other technical heads to ensure that we have clear and transparent understanding of the projects. This will require monthly reports and regular phone and email communications.
- Major Projects need to be managed (list regularly reviewed) with sign off from the Regional BU. Stakeholders such as BU, Technical Heads and GM will contribute on assigning the priorities.
- Perform product bench marking and participate in commercial trial and customer visits as required.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Dept. in material evaluation and supplier assessment to seek alternatives for continuous supply and raw material cost reduction.
- Prepare and maintain systematic documentation for technical data sheet (TDS) for relevant products produced at SWS.
- Ensure professional standard in laboratory practices and procedures are maintained, testing equipments are in good operating conditions, and site emergency, healthy and safety requirements are followed.
- People development, ensure that the various technicians and resources requirements meet the project demand; provide recommendation and develop/train technicians to ensure operations efficiency.
- Also develop people below you with appropriate training, on the job training and by guiding them as appropriate to develop their knowledge & skills to take higher responsibility.
- Responsible for formulations security, and maintain accurate records and reports of research activities/results and provide routine reporting.
- To assist in handling customer complaints and non-conformances, and provide with timely necessary feedback and recommendation for corrective actions.
