Pack-O-Mat¿Industries (formerly cosmik engineers) was found in 1967 by late mr. Ajit Sing Bhurjee. The company was engaged in the manufacture box-making machinery and spares, operating from a small workshop set up in Thane.
1972
Pack-o-mat expanded operations when it set up a larger unit at Bhandup in 1972 . This unit diversified into the manfacture of corrugating machines, sheet pasting machines and related machinery and spares. From the start, the company had an over-riding ambition- to manufacture machinery for the corrugating industry which wrer hitherto being imported.
1976
In 1975 , Pack-o-mat developed alarg 30" x 40" Heavy Duty Platen Punching Machine has been developed, base on Scot land design with Electro magnetic Clutch & Brake. This was followed by the manufacture of indias first Rotary Sheet Cutting Machine in 1976 ,based on Japanese design standards. this machine was signal achievement for the corrugating industry because, till then , the industry was using hand board cutters for cutting corrugated boards.
1983
Prior to this, Pack-o-mat set up its second modem unit Machine Karft industries . at Bhayander in 1983.
1984
To meet the growing demands of the corrugating industry , Pack-o-mat used in- housedesign and technology to manufacture a new 2 Ply High Speed Auto Rotary partition machine , based on german design standards
1991
The current year, 1991, has seen Pack-o-mat develop a Fully Automatic Electronically Controlled high speed rotary sheet Cutter. Pack-o-mat's manufacturing operations were benefited to a large extent by the expertise of one of its partners, Mr. Satindar Singh Bhurjee, who toured European countries to study the latest technological development in the corrugating industry.
