Operating Pole

"PACTIL" (J & P type) Standard 18 (feet) (5.48 meters) long 4 section, collapsible type operating pole suitable to use upto and including 33 KV systems, each pole is in 4 sections, bayonut joints being provided to facilitate its quick assembly, when disassembled approximately 4'8" overall all diameter of rod 1 1/2" One end of the pole would carry aluminium socket head mounted on synthetic resin bounded tube having dimension of 21 length 1/2" inside diameter and 1" outside diameter. Each rod Will be provided with: leather straps for tieing up together tho 4 section of the rod when disassembled. Certificate for Operating Rod

Test Voltage Appld

• A. C- 40 KV (RMS) 50 Hz. Per merer length for the period of one minute \ under dry condition.
• Preparation of the sample for the test 18 feet or 5-48 meter long 4 section collapsible type operating pole was mounted on the stand vertically upwards with the lower end earthed. The H. V- terminal was connected to the top end of the pole.
• An A C. voltage of 220 KV (RMS) 50 Hz was applied between the top end of the pole and the metal olip at the other end of the pole which was earthed, for a period of one minute.

Result of the test The above operating pole could withstand the stated voltage stated voltage satisfactorily for the period of one minute.
