Led by our CEO - Late Dr. P K De, we got established in the year 1979, as a proprietary organization in the field of civil engineering. Initially we started with soil investigation and foundation engineering works. We also developed our expertise in the field of applied research, which helped us to successfully meet various application needs in the field of Ground Improvement. Some of the leading solutions we provided during this period include Rammed Stone Columns, Lime Columns, Cement-Bentonite Grouting as well as in other areas related to soil and foundation engineering.
As a quality conscious service provider, today, we have successfully graduated as well developed & recognized Private Ltd. Co. in the civil engineering sector. Our Journey
- Initially, we started primarily with soil investigation and foundation engineering works
- In 1981, we developed our engineering survey division
- Development of applied research wing, which produced various applications for Ground Improvement and soils & foundation engineering related matters
- These included Rammed Stone Columns, Lime Columns, Cement-Bentonite Grouting
- In 1986, we established our civil design and consultancy wing
- Started foundation engineering works namely, RCC bored piles, both by DMC method as well as by auger method
- Started meeting the remedial measures for distressed structures/buildings
- In April, 1998, M/s. P K De & Associates was taken over by M/s. P K De & Associates Private Limited
Since then, our activities are restricted as per the drawn memorandum, which is described in simple terms, as follows: - Geotechnical wing for carrying out all kinds of geotechnical investigation works including rock mechanics & related subject matter
- Survey wing carrying out all kinds of topographical surveys, hydrological surveys, contour surveys as well as meeting the specialized service demands like roads and transmission line survey
- Civil and structural engineering design & analysis including Architectural development works and project planning
- Soil, rock & material testing lab facilities

Topographic Survey: A graphic representation of topography of an area is called topographic map. It is a drawing that shows natural & artificial features of an area. A topographic survey is a survey conducted for obtaining data needed for preparation of topographic map. The data consists of horizontal & vertical locations of features to be shown on the map. Procedures Used To Perform Topographic Surveying: The fieldwork in topographic survey consists of:
- Establishment of basic frame-work of horizontally & vertically located control points (called instrument points or stations)
