Ultipleat High Flow Filter

Ultipleat High Flow Filter
The Ultipleat High Flow filter is a large diameter, coreless, single open ended, pleated cartridge with an inside-to-outside flow pattern. The filter's unique crescent-shaped pleat geometry, combined with its large 152.4 mm (6 inch) diameter and proprietary range of available Pall filter media, allows you to use significantly fewer filters and smaller housings for high flow rate applications. Systems can handle up to 115,443 lpm (30,500 gpm).

Nylon Profile

Nylon Profile
Profile® II RFN Series filters* are composed of an all nylon filter medium with glass filled polypropylene cores as standard. They are also available with glass filled nylon cores. The elements have an absolute rated downstream section, and a continuously profiled pore size upstream section, which increases service life many-fold.

The fibers in Profile II RFN filters are for practical purposes continuous. No binder resin is used —the fibers are “bonded” by intertwining during the manufacturing process. As a result , Profile II RFN filters show no media migration.


Fluid Capability:

The materials of construction of the standard RFN Series filters permit application in a very wide range of liquids, and gases. For use with hot vegetable and mineral oils, which cause the polypropylene core to swell, the GN Series, with a glass filled nylon core, is preferred. For use with xylene, toluene or other aromatics, and for high temperatures, the glass filled nylon core is required. The Profile II RFN Series nylon filters should not be used in any oxidizing conditions or with water above 115 °F (40 °C).

The PE-Kleen filter combines the latest advances in polyethylene membrane technology with Pall’s unique crescent-shaped Ultipleat® filter technology. The result is a cartridge with the outstanding particle retention characteristics required by the semiconductor industry.

The PE-Kleen filter is specifically designed for the filtration of ultra-high-purity chemicals, including organic stripper and DHF. It is recommended for applications involving antireflective coatings and bulk filtration of 248 nm and 193 nm photoresist.

Carbo Filter Elements
Pall Carbo filter elements are manufactured from high quality carbon material. The various grades of Carbo elements available are manufactured from different grain size fractions with the carbon grains being integrally linked by carbon bridges. Carbo filter elements exhibit a high chemical resistance, due to their binder-free carbon structure.

Carbo elements are utilised across a wide field of applications. The fine porous types with a smooth surface are particularly suitable for fine filtration utilising back-wash cleaning technology. The coarser types exhibit a slightly rougher surface, and these are ideal for use in pre-coat filtration applications employing cellulose as the filter aid has an affinity for the rough Carbo filter element surface.

The Pall® POLY-FINE XLD filter is an innovative synthesis of depth and pleated filtration technologies. This product combines the high flow capacity and low pressure loss of pleated filters, with the gel retention capability and long life of a depth filter.

The POLY-FINE XLD filter is an excellent choice for a wide range of digital printing inks. The construction of the POLY-FINE XLD filter has been tailored to meet the needs of digital ink formulation and the all-polypropylene construction is compatible with many of the current ink jet ink chemistries. The multi-layer media structure has been developed with fine dispersion classification and gel retention in mind.

Description and Key Features:

• Pall POLY-FINE XLD filters are pleated-depth filters with all-polypropylene construction.
• Four nominal filter lengths are available: 10'/254mm, 20'/508mm, 30'/762mm, and 40'/1016mm.
• Pall POLY-FINE XLD filters for digital ink filtration are available in key removal ratings from 1.5 to 10μm absolute (coarser grades are available for other applications).

HDC II Filter

HDC II Filter
HDC® II filter cartridges are constructed of pure polypropylene, high area, pleated media. This new generation of HDC II filters, unlike the original HDC filters and other polypropylene pleated filters, has incorporated a proprietary concept into its medium construction: varying the fiber diameter continuously to produce a pore size distribution from coarse (upstream) to fine (downstream). This unique construction permits more contaminants to be trapped in the outer layers of the medium, thus substantially increasing dirt-holding capacity. The finer inner layers are essentially unchanged from those of the original HDC medium, thus maintaining the absolute rating of the filter.

Relative filter life studies, both in the laboratory and in the field, have shown that this new construction increases service life as much as four times compared to other filters of similar appearance.

Removal ratings range from 0.6 μm (micron) to 70.0 μm absolute. Refer to Bulletin HDC 700 for more detailed information.
