Feeder Bins Feeder bins are 6 -25 tons each, fabricated from MS steel. Each bin top and mid-section is reinforced for added rigidity. Bin bottom is designed with tapered opening to minimize bridging. Adjustable rubber sidings are provided to prevent leakage between bin bottom and belt surface. Adjustable clam shell gate allows metering of material from the bins.

Feeder Belts

Each feeder belt has multiple ply rated belting. Rollers are 4"-5" diameter. Feeder belts are to be driven by TEFC DC or AC Variable speed motors, with shaft mounted reducers. The head shaft pulley is self centering, herring bone lagged. The tail shaft wing pulley is self centering. Includes heavy duty self centering head shaft and tail shaft bearings.

Collecting Conveyor

The collecting conveyor has multiple ply rated belting, supported on 20-35 deg. troughing rollers. Includes conveyor extension beyond bins. Head pulley is self centering, with heavy duty bearings. Tail pulley is wing type self-cleaning. Belt is driven by a 1440 / 1800 RPM TEFC motor with shaft mounted reducer.

Frame

Bins and conveyors are supported on a heavy duty wide flange frame and braced for optimum rigidity.

The entire feeder bins and bed-frame structure can be supported on axles with 12 ply tires, air breaks, king pin, rear lighting and mud flaps.

The aggregate system has four aggregate bins, four feeder belts, and a gathering conveyor. Each bin has a adjustable gates and variable speed motor with gear box which controls passage of the material onto the Gathering belt. Up to four different aggregates can be used simultaneously, each with its own feed rate. The gathering belts empty onto the slinger conveyor, which discharges the aggregate into one end of the drum just below the burner. A tractor with a fifth wheel attachment will transport the unit.

Portable Drum Mix Unit Dries aggregate and coats it with asphalt cement to produce HMA. Major components are a drum, burner, exhaust fan, aggregate bins, aggregate feed system, and dust collection system. All are mounted on a single trailer frame. A tractor with a fifth wheel attachment will transport the unit.

The drum functions as a combination dryer and mixer. Steel spokes attach the drum to two steel tires. The tires ride on four motor-driven trunnions that rotate the drum. The burner is mounted on the elevated end of the drum and produces hot gases to dry the aggregate. The exhaust fan at the other end of the drum pulls the hot gases through the drum.

The Filler Hopper is provided to add Filler / Mineral from a separate Hopper in the mix to the extent pre-selectable in percentage by weight of the maximum plant output.

The system is powered by a Variable Speed Motor coupled with Gear Box to Rotary Valve and also synchronized with aggregate & Bitumen output.

The Filler material from this unit is conveyed pneumatically up to coating zone in the Thermo-drum.

The equipment is capable of applying an uninterrupted, constant, and prescribed quantity of hot Emulsion on a specified area. The foldable spray bars are supplied with a basic width of 2.4 meters which is extendable up to 4.2 meters. The Fully circulating spray bar can deliver Emulsion at pressures ranging from 0- 6 kg/sq m. A unique pressure cleaning system is supplied as a standard, which cleans the system after use and avoids clogging.

Wet scrubber type pollution control unit with venture duct, nozzles and water pump is provided. The unit is provided with exhaust blower and chimney for exhaust gases.

The Control panel is provided with centralized control for operating of the plant. The operations like percentage of aggregate, bitumen percentage, filler percentage, temperature control etc. have auto control as per the data fed by the operator. It has lamp indicators and meters for operation control, monitoring and fault finding. It is equipped with protections like single phasing, overload, fuses, sequence interlock etc. Load wise data can be printed on the printer provided in the panel. The body of the panel is fabricated from CRC sheet duly Powder Coated to protect against weather effect and has necessary ventilation.

Fully insulated double walled tank is equipped with separate high-pressure electronic burner for heating the Asphalt and control unit capable of metering and spraying required quantity of bitumen at specified temperature.

The positive displacement jacketed Asphalt pump coupled with variable speed motor is provided with hot oil circulating system.

All The Asphalt carrying pipelines are hot oil jacketed and thoroughly insulated with asbestos tape.

Fully Automatic Control cabin with Electrical Power Control console, distribution switch board, automatic process controller are provided as standard equipments.,On the same chassis insulated double walled tank equipped with separate high-pressure electronic burner for heating the Asphalt , positive displacement jacketed Asphalt pump coupled with variable speed motor is provided with hot oil circulating system is mounted.

High Efficiency Lifters

High efficiency lifters are engineered to provide the best efficiency available for direct fired aggregate drying. Lifter arrangements provide a complete vail within the dryer resulting in high efficiency heat transfer.

Tires

High strength steel tires, 100% welded, heat treated and precision machined. Tires are supported on riding bars, which are bolted to the drum for expansion and contraction as required.

Trunnion Rolls

Trunnion rolls are precision machined and surface heat treated for Rockwell hardness. Shafts are precision machined and shrink fitted into the trunnion roller. Trunnion rolls are supported by heavy duty spherical roller bearings, with adjustments for permitting uphill or downhill movement of the dryer.

Drive System

Dryers are usually driven by cradle chain and sprocket drive assembly. Friction drive system are usally provided for bigger plants like 90 TPH & above, or are available upon special request. Heavy duty reducers are coupled with TEFC motors to obtain the optimum shell RPM, resulting in the best fuel efficiency.

Thermo -drum Burner is the heart of the entire system hence its efficiency, ease of serviceability etc. are most important factors.

The Burners are fitted with remote control system to detect flame failure and have Electric spark ignition system.

The temperature is controlled through thermostatic control device to operate the plant in desired temperature range.
