With the giant Waldrich Coburg having already reached the shores of India and under transit, the machining division at Pune had a very delicate act to balance - namely to continue the machinining operations in the existing machines and at the same time prepare the foundation work for the to be installed Coburg machine. The foundation pit size was devised to have dimensions of 6M wide x 20 M long. To ensure stabilty a depth of approx 3 M of soil was extracted and replaced with concrete and steel. To adjust the height of the machine with regard to the roof height it was planned to lower the foundation bolt area to be approx. 500 mm below the current ground level that would help the table to be on the current ground level. The Logistics of transporting the soil outside, bringing in concrete and steel and civil work force and at the same time not disturbing the day to day work was a great challenge, made possible with great planning and total co-operation of all concerned say a beaming Mrs. Laxmi and Mr. Ashok Sarma the Management team at Pune. The Machine would be ready for offering to the customers as planned by July end as reported earlier
