About Us

Perl Tech is business and product development firm owned by Mr. Gautam Patel -Industrial Designer from NID (National Institute of Design) who is professional design consultant since last 20 years. Perl Tech is marketing agency for Cosil products Pvt. Ltd. - the only Perlite mine owner of India was Founded- Explored and now owned by Mr. Sharad Vyas the wellknown Geologist of India Now in America, who are leading producers of expanded Perlite in India. The company claims to produces Perlite under technical collaboration with the schundler Co. U.S.A.

We constantly enjoy product development in exploring unique properties of Perlite- a rare mineral of India.

We Offer

Basics of Perlite

It is a unique volcanic mineral which expands to about 8-12 times its original volume when it is heated to temperature of approximately 900-1100°C. During the heating process, mineral particles pop up like popcorn & form a granular as the combined water vaporizes & creates countless tiny bubbles which account for the amazing light weight & other exceptional physical properties of expanded perlite, off-white material light in density that it weighs only about 120-180kg/Cm3 making it adaptable to various industries.

Horticultural Perlite
Horticultural Perlite

"Mineral popcorn" has the unique properties of improving aeration & drainage while retaining ample moisture & nutrients on the surface made available to roots & cuttings.

Properties :
• Inorganic: does not deteriorate
• PH: essentially neutral, 6.5 to 7.5
• Insulator: reduces extreme soil temperature fluctuations
• Sterile: weed & disease free Clean, lightweight and Safe to handle
• Odourless: no storage or application problems
• White/ Grey /Green Colour: assures uniform mixing
• Improves aeration & drainage
• Moisture & Nutrients made readily available to plants The advantages of perlite in soils can be outstanding where weight is a factor.

Wet, sandy loan will weight about 120-140 Ibs/ft3 (1920-2240 kg/m'); Perlite-peat moss mixed in equal volumes will weigh only about 35 Ibs/ft3 (560 kg/m') when wet.

This difference can be critical where plants must be moved/where supporting structures must be considered as on balconies, patios, sun-decks & similar locations. The water holding ability of horticultural Perlite also increases its nutrient holding capacity when water soluble fertilizers are used. In addition, horticultural Perlite provides aeration to the growing mix which is essential for optimum plant development.
Container planting mixes also may utilize soil in conjunction with sphagnum peat moss, horticultural Perlite & nutrients. There is wide possibilities of Perlite use in Green houses, Tissue culture, Golf course and Nurseries.

Packing: In 20 kg. bags.

We strongly recommend NGO's for projects concerning Dry Farming, Green Field & Draught Prone Area. The proven trials & data available with us help in getting positive results. The strong support of NGO organizations has helped in positive growth of our plans.

Perlite Plaster

Perlite plaster is conite which is mineral based product with the major constituent being expanded perlite granules. It is obtained by high temperature expansion of natural mineral Perlite.

Bulk Density of Conite: 120-150 kg/m3 & with additional process; it can be even lighter.

Usage Of Conite - Used in construction projects where large ceiling span designed to reduce no. of columns & beams like Malls, Convention Hall etc. Such ceiling design helps to reduce noise level-waterproofing-slab lile roof with added advantage of lightweight insulated roof tops. - Approved as "Energy Conservation Code- India". - Wind uplift & seismic resistance -

Also added advantage of acoustical properties to reduce noise level -

Perlite Plaster:
It is made at site from Conlite cement, air en-training agent & water. Cement should be standard company product & water used should be clean portable water. Conlite-portland cement based plaster can be used on new/remodel work-as a base coat for stucco finishes.

Conite Gypsum Plaster: Conlite plaster aggregate mixed with Gypsum to provide an ideal base coat plaster for interior walls, ceilings & for membrane fireproofing to underside of floor & roof assemblies.

Gypsum Perlite Plaster - Compressive Strength: 45-60 kg/cm2 - Setting time: 30 Min - Form/Mesh/Powder: 175-200 -

Area of Application: On bare brick wall, RCC ceiling surface smoothness.

Perlite Powder
Perlite Powder

Perlite powder is expanded perlite, it is a mineral which is non-toxic, non-irritant properties granulate and use for cloth washing. This ingredient is obtained by high temperature expanding process of natural mineral. Perlite powder gives you extra softness, shining, abrasion look to your valuable garments. This application helps in reducing enzymatic process and dosages. Long lasting softness and shining helps to improve your product value

Note
:
• Poor quality of yarn and dyeing cause to damaging fabric like high color reduction & piling. Confirm your fabric quality before using perlite powder.
• Drainage lines has to be prepared with dust collectors to avoid chock up.

Packing: Perlite powder is available in 20 kg. bags.

Slag Perlite

Slag perlite as slag remover known as perlite ore-foundry flux. In application where slag perlite is introduced to the ladle during fill and after a heel of metal has been poured, it produces a gentle rolling action which cleans the metal by coagulating, impurities and floating them up to the slag layer. Repeated use increase ladle lining life by cleaning the walls and leaving a vitreous residual coating on the refractory. There are claims that slag perlite will also reduce the sulphur content of ferrous metal when added to the ladle during fill. It is probable that this is the result of the slag perlite collecting the products of desulfurization, raising them to the surface and holding them in the slag in such away that sulphur cannot readily re-enter the bath.

Slag perlite performs these functions without producing objectionable smoke or noxious fumes a significant benefit to the foundry man faced with ever tightening air pollution restrictions. Slag perlite could conveniently find use in continuous casting operations as an insulating covering on tundish and casting moulds. Other potential steel mill uses would be in molten iron transfer cars as an insulating barrier or in molten iron desulphurization practices where the slag must be skimmed off following treatment.

Packing: slag perlite is available in 50 kg. Bags.

Advantages Of Conlite Concrete & Plaster

Lightweight: Weighs less than ordinary sand plaster, saves about a ton [907 kg) for 100 yd2 (83.6 m2) of material applied 1/2 in.(13 mm) thick.

Insulating: the co-efficient of thermal conductivity for conite is (e)= 0.015-0.048 kcal/h.mc or = 0.025-0.057 w/mc

Fire Retardant: non-combustible and non-toxic provides up to 5-hour fire protection with minimum weight and thickness more than 50 fire tested designs by recognized laboratories.

Durable: Cannot rot or decay strong but not brittle endures freeze-thaw exposure successfully used on major construction projects since 1946.

Approved as "energy conservation code- India" wind uplift & seismic resistance. - acoustical properties to reduce noise level
