About UsThe principals of PESCO-BEAM have built and operated ethanol production facilities since 1980. These facilities were located in Floyd, VA. At peak production, two of the companies processed and sold over 12 million gallons per year of anhydrous fuel ethanol blended with gasoline in service stations such asRacetrack, Wilco, Citgo, and others throughout the Mid-Atlantic States of the USA. The companies were in business from 1980 to 1992, after which falling crude oil prices and low gasoline rack prices reduced the demand for ethanol. Around the same time the demand for solvent and oil recovery systems was growing and in 1991, Pragmatic Environmental Solutions Company [PESCO] was formed. PESCO met the increasing demand with on-site, reasonably priced, skid mounted solvent and oil recovery systems. Over the next 15 years PESCO grew from its modest beginnings to a company with international recognition. Today PESCO systems are recycling everything from acetone to xylene and motor oil, in locations ranging from Australia to Virginia. PESCO merged with its long term fabrication and engineering partners BEAM Engineering to form thenew international PESCO-BEAM Environmental Solutions Company Inc. PESCO and BEAM have been working together successfully for over 12 years to design and build numerous, solvent recovery and oil recovery systems. |
Happenings / News / Press CoverageNews Expectations Exceeded Pesco-Beam has exceeded expectations for production yield on both the Heartland Petroleum Oil Recovery and Como Lube systems. In the first weeks of production these systems outperformed design quanities. Ethanol Production The 5 MM GPY Ethanol Production System project (St Paul BioTek) is in the design and engineering phase. This project will be producing fuel grade ethanol and dried distiller's grain (for the animal feed market) in North Carolina. UTI Ventures Invests in PESCO-BEAM UTI Ventures , a leading private equity firm, has announced its investment of $8 million into PESCO BEAM Environmental Solutions, a company involved in waste management (waste oil recycling and recovery) and alternate energy systems. Mr. S. N. Rajesh, Director, Private Equity, UTI Ventures said: “PESCO BEAM’s track record, deep understanding of the waste recycling and alternate energy systems industry, and strong vision will help the company achieve significant success. We are excited to be partnering PESCO BEAM as they set out to execute their vision”.
