The shaft incremental encoders are precision measuring instruments to transduce position, distance angle or speed. The PGcoders EN-801P, EN-801H & EN-201 are indigenously manufactured with precision technology. The basic encoder type: EN-801/ EN-901 is incorporated in heavy duty housing type `H’ and `P’. The base mounted encoders are type designated as EN-801H / EN-901H and the flange mounted encoders as EN-801P These incremental encoders register position of the shaft driven by users drive through a heavy-duty coupling. Output is available in form of square pulses incremented (or decremented) step by step in users counter or PLC. Direction can be determined with the help of two trains of pulses running in quadrature. One index pulse is available per rotation for orientation of mechanical position. PGcoders are extensively used in automation heavy industry like steel & pipe mills,material handling plants & other industry, where long cable lines are required. All our encoders are CE complied.

The hollow-shaft incremental encoders are precision measuring instruments to transduce position, distance angle or speed. The PGcoders EN701 are made with precision technology acquired with an experience of more than 18 years of manufacture in India. These incremental encoders register position of the users’ shaft directly. Output is available in form of square pulses incremented (or decremented) step-by-step in users counter or PLC. Direction can be determined with the help of two trains of pulses running in quadrature. One index pulse is available per rotation for orientation of mechanical position. These encoders are extensively used in automation industry or places where little space is available to install an encoder. One has to simply slide the encoder and secure it on the users’ shaft. A flexible anti-rotational device prevents rotation of the shaft. All our encoders are now available with CE compliance.

Absolute shaft encoders ENA-8, ENA-9 are electrical transducers, the output of which represents absolute position of the shaft. It is in natural grey, binary or BCD format available upto 9 bits (512 steps per turn). Unlike incremental encoders, each step is exclusive; the digitally defined shaft position, which is not affected by power outage. Ranges above & Multiturn absolute encoders. These are available upto 19 bits are complemented by German make single 7 bits in singleturn and maximum 17 x 12 bit multiturn encoders in various versions. Digital Signal Transducers For Encoders

The output signals of encoders are interpreted in the form of position shown digitally and outputted in analog form or RS 485. The digital transducer EDA-201 can accept signals from absolute single or multiturn encoders in synchronous serial interface form or parallel binary or grey form. The digital transducer EDA-201 is used in industry or machines to count length of web or dosing applications. It can be scaled to give meaningful reading corresponding to rotary or linear position e.g. degree, mm, etc. Additionally it gives analog signal. It can also accept pulses(square wave)from incremental encoders. Another digital transducer(Pulse Tachometer)PST-201 is made to interpret speed, scale it to desired parameters e.g. rpm, M/min, etc. display and give 4-20mA output. Other blind transducers like signal converters SPG-3 convert SSI to parallel outputs for absolute encoders. Yet another range of interface transducers e.g. INTC5, INTC50 are meant for incremental encoders for compatibility to users input.

Infra-red Sensors & Safety Guards

These invisible light barriers work on emission of infra-red rays which either get interrupted or reflected from the object to be sensed by the sensor. In transmission mode, the emitters & detectors are placed in opposed mode in which the object interrupts the beam or else. In reflection mode, it gets reflected to give an ON/OFF output signal. They are available in different forms (tubular & box type) for sensing distances upto 12M in transmission mode & 1.5M in reflective mode. Infra-red safety guards Series GA-- form an invisible curtain which if interrupted by finger or hand gives a signal to shut off the drive. They are used in machines like presses where entry of human or any other part may cause damage/injury. Infra-red sensors are used extensively in industrial automation for limit positioning & counting since it is unaffected by ambient light, it is used extensively where long sensing distances are to be covered.

Visible Light Sensors

Opto-electronics visible light sensors- ECR-501, ECG-501, ECU-501, ERA-101 are specifically designed to sense only the desired colour amongst others in the background. Further the function of its sensors should not be affected by normal daylight. Mark sensing is the most common requirement utilized in Packaging industry. To sense a colour mark in a background of contrast colour or different colour, ECG-501, ECR-501 and ECU-501 are the most commonly used. To choose a mark with only slight contrast background is achieved by special sensors. Besides on-line sensing of objects in packaging industry, these colour sensors are also supplied for identifying and sorting colours of bigger objects in a production line. Teach-button method is used for this purpose. A robust edge guide sensor with analog output ERA-101 is used in feedback loop to control the straight flow of web on a machine. It has a visible light spot to facilitate correct installation.

The Laser based sensors are available for long distance position sensing. Moreover the visible spot available even at a distance of 50M can be sensed for use as transmission mode (opposed mode) sensor ELD-101. The reflective mode sensor EIL-301 can sense objects upto 3M or even more. For Contactless yet precision distance / displacement measurement, we developed LASER based sensor type ELA-301 giving analog output depending upon distance. The displacement or the distance of the object from sensor is sensed by the reflected light from the object which is evaluated in proper form. The measurement of displacement even in few microns is registered and given as a change in output. The analog output limits can be programmed to register the movement within desired limits.

Flexible Coupling

Couplings for Encoders & Light Duty applications. They are flexible in lateral and angular position movement yet torsionally stiff in rotary motion. The shaft coupling series PSK are spiral versions, which are comparatively `softer’ in axial and angular movements as compared to series PPK in straight slit versions, both are torsionally rigid. They are used for even the most precision shaft encoders to transmit position information of very high resolution – e.g. 131072 steps per turn. Also used as stepper motor drives, tachogenerators and all rotary precision position transmitters.
