Flexible CouplingCouplings for encoders & light duty applications. They are flexible in lateral and angular position movement yet torsionally stiff in rotary motion. The shaft coupling series psk are spiral versions, which are comparatively `softer’ in axial and angular movements as compared to series ppk in straight slit versions, both are torsionally rigid. They are used for even the most precision shaft encoders to transmit position information of very high resolution – e. G. 131072 steps per turn. Also used as stepper motor drives, tachogenerators and all rotary precision position transmitters.

Scalable Encoder Position IndicatorDigital Signal Transducers For Encoders
The output signals of encoders are interpreted in the form of position shown digitally and outputted in analog form or RS 485. The digital transducer EDA-201 can accept signals from absolute single or multiturn encoders in synchronous serial interface form or parallel binary or grey form. The digital transducer EDA-201 is used in industry or machines to count length of web or dosing applications. It can be scaled to give meaningful reading corresponding to rotary or linear position e.g. degree, mm, etc. Additionally it gives analog signal. It can also accept pulses(square wave)from incremental encoders. Another digital transducer(Pulse Tachometer)PST-201 is made to interpret speed, scale it to desired parameters e.g. rpm, M/min, etc. display and give 4-20mA output. Other blind transducers like signal converters SPG-3 convert SSI to parallel outputs for absolute encoders. Yet another range of interface transducers e.g. INTC5, INTC50 are meant for incremental encoders for compatibility to users input.

Interface Card - Six to 3 Channel Converter Incremental encoder users sometimes pose problems when their counter or counter module in PLC have provision to accept only 3 or 2 Encoder inputs whereas the Encoders have 6 channel differential (k1, k1-, k2, k2-, k0, k0-,) output. The Six to Three Channel Converter Type IN – NBS 3 converts the differential output at users’ end to cleaner 3 channel output. This Converter is quite relevant when 5 Volt level or TTL output is required. The Encoders suitable for 5 V.DC supply usually have TTL compatible, differential output RS 422 compatible. If the user utilizes only 3 channels out of 6 it does not match the requirement and results in damaging the output components of the Encoder. Besides, the system is vulnerable to noise when using only three (k1, k1-, k2) or two (k1, k2) channels at 5 Volts level. Using the Interface Card Type IN – NBS 3 obviates this problem and what more, one can use longer cable lines when the recommended circuit is used. The Unit is DIN rail mountable. Similar Unity Type IN – NAS 3 suitable for 10 – 30 V.DC could be utilized for Encoder of this voltage level.
