Adjustable hand reamers adjustable hand reamers are extremely useful precision tools for any engineering or auto-repair shop. These are ideal for use on steel or nonferrous metals. Each reamer expands to the smallest size of next larger size. Reamers are used for light cut, repair work, removing stock or simply for enlarging holes. Reamers can be hand operated by use of wrenches. The size can be adjusted by moving the blades in tapered slots by means of loosening one nut and tightening the other available in carbon steel blade & high speed steel blades. High speed steel, accurately hardened to 60 - 64 hrc and relief ground.

Manufactured from close grained cast iron, these angle plates have clamping slots for easy mounting of work pieces for setting up jigs and fixtures on milling machines, drill presses, planing machines, radial drilling machines etc. Their precise construction makes them ideal for use in inspection jobs as well. These are available in 2 types (a) Open End: Four faces and all ends are machined with the outer faces ground square and parallel within 0.002" (50 microns) per 6" (150 mm). Cast Iron Box Angle Plates serve as a versatile tool for layout machine set-ups, tooling and inspection. They can also be used as right angles and squares. A job can be fixed on one of its faces and rotated in five positions without the need for repositioning or disturbing accuracy. Matched pairs can be used as Parallels and Height Blocks. Precision Box Angle plates as per IS-6985-73 on request. Made generally as per IS : 6232 ? 1971. Made from close grained plain cast iron having hardness within 170 ? 220 HB. Angle Plates are also used as a vertical reference for inspection and tooling purposes. They make an ideal fixture for shaping, planning, milling, grinding, drilling and boring operations Made generally as per IS : 2554 - 1971, Angle Plates are webbed and provided with cored slots on both working faces to facilities clamping. Made from close grained plain cast iron conforming to Grade FG:220 of IS:210-1978. Castings stress relieved. Smaller sizes offered with Grades 1 & 2 accuracy and larger sizes offered in Grade 2 accuracy. Hand scraped surface finish for Grade-1 accuracy. Smooth machined / rough ground / rough scraped Surface finish for Grade 2 accuracy. Angle Plates in standard sizes with accuracy as per IS:6973-1973, but made from the same patterns as those for the standard sizes as per IS : 2554 - 1971, are made upon request. Squareness tolerances are as shown in table. Other tolerances are generally as per IS: 2554 ? 1971. Higher tolerances for squareness as well as for T-slots can be ensured upon request. Sizes, respective T-slot details and squareness tolerances are as stated in table. Custom sizes can be offered upon request.

These are also used as height blocks for scribing and inspection and for building up the height of components on machine table. Flatness deviation of any local area of 250 mm x 250 mm of working surface not exceeding 0.003 mm for plates of Grade 0, 0.007 mm for plates of Grade 1, 0.015 mm for plates of Grade 2, 0.030 mm for plates of Grade 3. Manufactured from high quality close grained cast iron, these plates have thick solid top surfaces, strong heavy skirts and diagonal cross-ribbed webbing on the underside which results in high rigidity and minimum deflection. High degree of flatness, overall quality and workmanship make them ideal bases for mounting of mechanical, electronic and optical gauging systems. Dead centers ? Lathe centers manufactured from high quality carbon steel, dead centres have a solid construction with no moving parts. Fully hardened for increased resistance to wear. Hardness of tip 60-63 hrc, these centres are accurately ground available in two types ? Full and half dead centres. Half dead centres come with a full carbon steel construction or with carbide tips. Full dead centres are additionally available with high speed steel tips. in centres with carbide/hss tips, the tips are brazed into a close tolerance socket for maximum strength. carbide tip centres are preferred in applications where the workpiece has a hardness close to or more than that of carbon steel dead centre. Carbide tip imparts durability and calls for less downtime for regrinding of point. High speed steel dead centres are especially useful in applications that involve shock.

DIAMOND LAPPING COMPOUND Diamond Lapping Compounds are increasingly used in the surface finishing of a wide variety of hard materials. These are extensively used in the manufacture of precision components, plastic moulds, tungsten carbide dies, cemented carbide cutting tools, optical lenses, polishing of gems and in metallurgical specimens etc. Diamond lapping compounds are available in various grades manufactured from pure accurately graded diamond powder which is then evenly distributed in a chemical base to ensure quick cutting. Each grade of compound is of a different color which allows immediate identification for the job involved.
