headquartered in kolkata, ppil was established in 1988 and started production of male latex condoms in 1991. The manufacturing plant is spread over 20 acres of land in balasore, orissa. With an initial installed capacity of about 150 million pieces, ppil has successfully executed multiple expansions to become one of india's largest condom manufacturers with an installed capacity of about 750 million pieces per annum. The plant boasts of being one of the most technologically advanced, complying with rigorous international standards and specifications.
ppil has been a key regular supplier to the government of india (mohfw) for over a decade and has also successfully executed various large international contracts under the world bank / ibrd programmes to government of uganda, vietnam, bhutan, bangladesh, south africa and brazil. We also export our products to major middle-eastern and european commercial markets, and aspire to broaden our geographical reach in the near future.
