In the year 20th July,1946.When little Nainmal was born in that distant village of Rajasthan to Shri Sardarmalji and Badamiben none would have able been to tell what lay 55 years hence, more so when in the year 1948 when Shri Sardarmal left for this heavenly abode. And Smt. Badamimal was left to fend for her baby boy. But it was the Marwar spirit of going beyond what could be seen and the community. Which would not let go any one of them that laid the foundation whose strength and power would be known only many years later, Nainmal who would later be addressed by those now famous. N. S. Jain; grew in stature and structure to educate himself through school and graduate from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics at Mumbai in the year 1967, when the honor of graduation was to be cherished he had the joy of having by his side his wife Usha. The spirit of Marwar within and the Mumbai then known as Bombay - spirit in the air around. Mr. N. S. Jain stepped forward to build his life - An empire he had visualized, the dreams he had dreamt... Secretly growing within him sharing it with but a few Mr. N.S. Jain began this journey, he began his business in partnership as M/s.Paradise Card Products (1969-1973). After six months of struggle he established his own Pankaj Card Products in the name of his second son in 1974-in partnership though once again. There began the foundation of the empire that was visualized. Pankaj Card Products manufactured and printed visiting Cards, not the regular mundane, but something that made a difference to the lives of the buyers to make that difference was then and has ever since remained at the core of Mr. N. S. Jain.The growth of Pankaj Cards was such that it seemed that of this strong foundation would rise a structure ever solid in its demeanor and yet caring in its behavior (attitude). However this state of bliss was not to be; in 1984 the partners had to separate. This separation only did more good for Mr. N. S. Jain born of the Marwar spirit and bred, on the spirit of Bombay-for of it was born Porwal Card Products (1985). Porwal Cards Products - the Company that manufactured Wedding Cards. Wedding cards that made a difference in the lives of the people. Now, by this time Mr. Kiran N. Jain the eldest of his sons had begun to be actively involved in the business. It was but natural for Mr. N. S. Jain that, Porwal Card Products grew from strength to strength to be reckoned greatly for their highly creative designs. The business grew and all was well settled. Things began to see a calm. The calm was unsettling for this family from Marwar with many more having joined the industry and having taken recourse to duplicating their designs. Mr. N. S. Jain felt it was time to call it quits, When his contemporaries had delivered him the highest compliment by imitating the works of Porwal Card Products. It was in the year 1995 Mr. N. S.Jain quits. Was it the end there, then? For Mr. N. S. Jain quits always meant a new beginning. Quits meant leaving one plane to move to another larger plane. That quit delivered the idea of Greeting Cards and in the year 1995 the brand 'Mark's' was born. Then in 1995 when a few hundred cards were made where designs were outsourced to 2001 when thousands of cards are created and most designs developed inhales Mark's has towered the many horizons it had set only to set newer horizons.
