PRABHAT ZARDA FACTORY was the first organized endeavour to produce chewing tobacco in the state of Bihar, so it is an epoch and led to the beginning of Industrialization of tobacco trade in India.In 1952,under the proprietorship of Shri L.K.Arya the foundation of PRABHAT ZARDA FACTORY was laid down in Muzaffarpur,Bihar, India.

Production of chewing tobacco,flavour,fragrance,&Attar was the traditional occupation of the family but it was in the form of cottage industry.Late Shri Chaturbbuj Ram was an immaculate and pioneer perfumer in the trade and his firm M/s ChaturbbujRam Perfumers had a goodwill, quality& consistency of the products.The firm engaged itself in the production of loose PanMasala ,Varakdar Goli,Pan Ki Chatni and Usha Quiwam .

As Shri L.K.Arya has a special knowledge of taste and fragrances, he innovated a better quality Zafrani Patti and the product Ratna No 64 t was launched and greatly accepted & liked by the people throughout the country.

Being a quality product, it gained immense popularity instantly.This led to the demand of a better quality and taste from the upper section of the society.To cater that a superior quality product was launched with a brand name called Ratna No.300 which burgeoned heights rapidly and is now one of the heights selling flavoured chewing tobacco brand of the world.In the course of time different products were added to their product line Which also includes various premium products like prabhat No.500,Prabhat No.310 and various Numbers of Ratna and Pratibha Zafrani Patti.

Blindness is one of the leading health problems in rural India. The CHATURBHUJ RAM MEMORIAL Trust holds a free eye camp every year around February-march, where they provide free screening for eye disease and follow-up surgery at no charge. Operations are performed by leading eye surgeons and the patients receive free eye glasses as well as food and drink.

Free Eye Camp was initiated 18 years ago. This annual event is eagerly awaited by the natives of this rural area. This camp brings relief to the people whose lives are impaired just because of faulty sight.

More than thousand of patients used to come every year. Out of them as per need some are provided medicine and spectacles free of charge.

For those patients who had acute diseases or needed operation, being admitted and operated by Eye Specialist Dr Pahwa along with their associates.

The camp Team composed of paramedical staff and local volunteers(usually students from medical profession) headed by very renowned doctor Dr.Yogesh Kumar who look after everything from the registration of patients to the disposal of every patients shares a great responsibility and their contribution for the success of camp is remarkable.

Prabhat Zarda Factory organizes a prestigious Football Tournament every year with the name of ALL INDIA CHATURBHUJ MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT.

Football, as we know is one of the sports which not only helps in preparing youngsters for excellence in sports but also helps to maintain alertness of mind and fitness of body.

As this discipline requires dedication, concentration and will power, it is but natural that this sport inculcates good qualities of a discipline achiever, in all those who pursue it.

The tournament is being conducted successfully from 4th of December every year since last couple of decades.
